My previous two pairs were Wave Rider 7's, which I LOVED. I put about 400 miles on these the 10's trying to convince myself they were a good shoe. They just aren't. I just bought a pair of adidas Supernova 7's - much better than my WV 10's but not as good as my WR 7's. I'm still without a perfect sh...

Well designed neutral shoe with fast transition and light weight (for a training shoe). However, like many, I've found the overall fit a bit on the large side. To me the fit is noticeably larger than the Rider 9, but not as extreme as what other reviewers are writing. The white and shiny blue gra...

Love the extra cushion in the forefoot. Perfect fit. I am a larger runner (240lbs.) and this shoe has been the perfect fit for me all 3 times I purchased it. I also have a mild over-pronation, which is erased when I wear this shoe.

I usually run in the Cumulus and Trigon Ride, but this shoe is perfect for me. I am slightly heavier 5'6 180, but this shoe is very comfortable for my wide feet and the cushioning is perfect. They are still relatively new so I don't know about the wearing down part, but so far so good.

The shoe was comfortable and had some nice cushion in the store and for about 250 miles...now, it is shot. Feels like I'm running in dress shoes. Far too much money to spend for only 250 miles. I won't buy Mizuno's again.

Ran a Marathon in Rider 9,10's were great at first,PR10K & Half,But after only 260 miles they are looking shot!
At 5'6 145lbs? Heels are starting to hurt! They just don't hold up as good as the 9's.I run 40+ a week and the heel is to low on this one?I'm trying the Elixir.

I have worn Riders since the 7 and these are my favorite. I have a slightly wide forefoot that was always squeezed in previous versions. The 10 fits perfectly and I have no reason to believe I won't get another 300 miles or so out of them. Mizuno makes quality shoes for real runners.

I am a female runner who needs an 11.5 in women's shoes but Mizuno stops at an 11. They need to do their research on the foot size of American women, Anyway- I have been wearing men's wave riders for about 3 years now without any problems. They have always been a little wide, but that was to be e...

Yes, I realize the Wave Runner 11 is already out, but I didn't experience all of the "issues" with the 10 that others have written about here. I've been using these shoes for tempo runs, longer intervals, and middle distance races (up to 1/2 marathons) for about 6 months now with no complaints what...

Great shoe! I have a wide foot and wear orthotics, so the wider toebox is perfect for my feet. This was the only neutral shoe available in widths at my local RR store, so my choice was limited. Fit is really good. Have put around 60 miles on my first pair of these and they are holding up very well. ...

I wore Mizuno Wave Riders 7's, 8's, and 9's. I loved them and had no plans to wear anything else. Then I bought a pair of 10's. They were okay for flat 6 mile runs, but long runs with downhills always left me with blisters from my forefoot sliding around in the toebox. I will not return to wearing W...

As mentioned, fit is longer than the 9s (my fave shoe ever), the 2Es that I wear are wider, transition is not as smooth for some reason on these- I think they added more thickness to the forefoot midsole. Please, Mizuno, make the 11s more like the 9s.

I have been running in Mizunos for about 10 years, and the past couple of years things have slipped in the cushioning and comfort department. I have a wide toe box and have appreciated what the Mizunos offered. I agree with the other Mizuno runners, that the shoes create problems from lack of cush...

I am returning the pair I ordered because the hard plastic Mizuno badges on the heel of the shoe dug into the back of my foot on every step. Unless you have kevlar socks I would not recommend this shoe.

I started with the Wave Rider 7 and probably went through twelve pairs over four years up through the WR 9. Loved that smooth heel-toe transition. The 10 doesn't fit me, toe box too wide. I ran in it like twice and started looking for something new. So sad. Switched to Asics Cumulus 8 for train...

The Wave Rider 9 was a great shoe for me. The 10 is so different, wider throughout - especially in the toe box. I had leg cramping for the first time in a few years. Such a disappointment.

I love this shoe.
My only concern is that the foam between the outsole and the pastic wave is really compacted after 150 miles; but it still has plenty of cushioning. My previous shoe was a NB 725.

Mediocre I think fits best. Nothing horribly wrong with them, but then again, nothing that great either. I think they would be a great deal as an everyday trainer if they were priced about $15 less. They're kinda pricey for a very basic shoe that wears fast.

Thu, September 06,2007:
Loved the WR 8 and 9. Screwed up 10 by adding more support to shoe. The flexibility and simplicity of 8 and 9 made them a light, comfortable, and responsive. The WR 10 lost the flexibility and responsiveness resulting in a mediocre shoe.

I loved the WR 9, really thought I had found my best shoe (for reference, I also have really liked Nike Air Pegasus 06 and the Adidas Adistar Cushion 4). But for me, the biggest problem with the 10 is it seemed to lack the great cushion and ride of the 9. It basically feels like the Adidas Superno...

The new 10 has a wider toe box and more flexible lace pattern for a better fit. The sizing is nearly a half size larger comparing the 9's to the new 10's. The shoe is a good comfortable fit, however the change in the heal sole design wears much faster than previous designs. I have two pairs with 9...
