Very nice toe box for those of us that easily get blisters and bad toenails. I run marathons and do Olympic distance triathlons year round and these shoes have been the best I have found!

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Alchemy 7 Running Shoe:

unfortunately i have to agree with reviews from joanne, holly, and missingsis. i gave these shoes a couple months to be sure it wasn't just me but they are simply not up to mizuno standards. they are clunky, the fit is sloppy, they flop down rather than roll upon contact, and my feet ache after only a couple miles. i love mizunos but can't recommend these.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Alchemy 7 Running Shoe:

I used to run in the Nirvana and went to the Wave b/c I did not like how short the Nirvana was in the back heel and how small the toe box was. The Wave has a VERY nice wide toe box and back is heel is great; however, the Nirvana by far has much better arch and heel support. The show is much better for flat feet needing little to no arch support.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Alchemy 7 Running Shoe:

Unfortunately I don't like the 7 and have been running in the Alchemys for years. I was really disappointed. For me they just seem too soft. My legs are more fatigued after running in them a few miles. I am going back to running in my old shoes for now until I can find a replacement.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Alchemy 7 Running Shoe:

The reviewers who are saying the shoe is a poor departure from all of the other Wave Alchemys are spot on. I've been running in Wave Alchemys for about six years and have tolerated each "update." But this one is intolerable. The Alchemy has been my haven from injury, but this new one seems to be aggravating problems I have not had since I started running in this brand. I had to go up a size from the one I'd been wearing all of these years and now it's too big. It's like it's a different shoe. I'm so disappointed I don't know what to do. Like someone else said, I've got to find another solemate. This one has ditched me.

I used to wear the Addiction and got this as it was lighter (and looked better, sorry!). My husband was a fan of the Alchemy 6 and said I should try Mizuno if I wanted a lighter shoe, so here I am and loving it. For the anonymous person below, he said that the Alchemy 7 is more stable than the Alchemy 6 so he went to the wave inspire.

I've been running in my Alchemy 7s for two months now and so far, they're great. The fit is great for me - I have slightly flat feet in need of a wider toebox (narrow heel, though.) Also like how light they feel. Definitely order a 1/2 to a full size up.

New to Mizuno, I invested in the Alc-7. I needed a stable, ankle supportive shoe with wide toe box and this shoe fits. It's light, supports my weak ankle, while giving room for my toes. All day comfort, very nice :)

Ok! You all were right, I should have listened. I was the last to review this shoe. I wrote a few days after buying it. I am sorry to say that I have to shop for a new love. After having the 7 for a few weeks I developed heel pain. I thought I needed more padding so I bought insoles. Then I began having shin pain. Today I put my old 6's on and there is no comparison. I ran without pain even though they are worn beyond their mileage. These new version of the Alchemy is awful and I am heartbroken. I appoligize to anyone that I may have led astray. Now I am off to search for a new "solemate". Wish me luck.

If I could have given a negative star I would have. Listen to the bad reviews. This is the worst change I've seen in a shoe. If you were a fan of the alchemy 6 (which I adored and the models before that) BEWARE the 7's are not the same. The support is missing, the toe box is too wide, they are clunky even though Mizuno claims that they are lighter. Couldn't even run a mile in these things and I avg 40-50 mile weeks. Sent shoes back. I'm done with Mizunos. Got the Brooks Trance 7 and they worked great!

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Alchemy 7 Running Shoe:

I have been wearing the Wave Alchemy for years and loved the 5 the best. I endured the 6 because it wasn't too different. The 7? I cannot stand it. The toebox is too wide and the overall feel is that the shoe is chunky and clunky. My body doesn't like the fit at all - and now I have a groin pull to prove it. Back to the 6, which are old and worn out, but still a better fit than the sucky 7. Do yourself and your body a favor and do not buy this model!

I have worn the Alchemy for years and have always loved this shoe. I feel the same for the 7. Yes the shoe has changed over the years. Show me a shoe that hasn't. I do not know what all the fuss is about. I have a narrow foot and still buy the reg and the toebox is fine. Look at your box and see if you have the right width. This is a comfortable shoe.

I love my alchemy 6, perfect arch support , just a great pair of running shoes. (much better than the Nikes I was used to). I bought the alchemy 7, did a few shorter 6-7 mile runs and thought they were okay. I did a 22 mile this weekend and I have 2 bruised big toes. Back to surfing for a pair of alchemy 6.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Alchemy 7 Running Shoe:

I agree with everyone else that there are too many differences b/w the 6s and 7s. I loved the 6s - perfect support, nice fit and lightweight. The 7s are heavier and do not have nearly the same support. The only upside is that the 7s are a little wider (I used to have to buy the 6s in wides). If you loved the 6s for the pronation control, the 7s are NOT for you.

I LOVED the Alchemy 6!!! I literally can't wear the Alchemy 7. Every time I run in the Alchemy 7, my knee kills me (Iliotibial Band). I switched back to my Alchemy 6's and no more knee pain. There were too many changes from 6 to 7; my body didn't like the changes.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Alchemy 7 Running Shoe:

I wore the Alchemy 6 and loved it but I don't like the changes to this one. The toe box is too wide and it feels clunky to run in. Also, it doesn't have the arch support like the Alchemy 6. Why do shoe companies always have to drastically change shoes?

I really like this shoe. I used to wear Saucony and this feels like a huge step up. Light weight and good support. I paired these with SuperFeet and the arch support is excellent. I never wore the Alchemy 6 so I don't know how it compares...
