Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 4 Running Shoe:

I've loved Mizunos for the past 4 years, but this version of the shoe is not good. My feet, ankle, back and legs hurt from the start. I had to return them. I will go back to Wave Nirvana 3.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 4 Running Shoe:

I loved the Nirvana 3 shoe and had some issues with blisters on my arch when I first ran in the Nirvana 4. A little body glide every day and these shoes have since treated me very well.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 4 Running Shoe:

For many years I ran in the Brooks Adrenaline then switched to the Nirv 3. Loved them except that when I started wearing arch supports, I started getting blisters. The modifications to the Nirv 4 are perfect for me, specifically the higher heel back. No problems, great shoe for marathon training.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 4 Running Shoe:

I started out running in Asics GEL-Kayano 13. i loved this shoe at first. I do not know if the GEL-Kayano 13 just was not good on long runs or if it was because the 14 is different from the 13. Anyway I ended up getting injured while training for my first marathon. I could not find a shoe that did not kill my IT bands. I struggled for 6 months without being able to run, and then I was introduced to the Mizuno nirvana 4. This shoe ROCKS!!! I have had no problems since. I am on this site right now purchasing my 3rd pair of these shoes....

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 4 Running Shoe:

I loved the Nirvana 3s, but the 4s were uncomforatble from the start. The 4s don't fit like the 3s (too wide in the heel), and after only two miles, my feet, knees and hips started to hurt.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 4 Running Shoe:

These are the first shoes I've had in 6 years that have not given me ANY blisters ANYWHERE or bruised toes, even on a 6 mile run out of the box! They seem durable and give my overpronating feet enough support, hopefully they will last with my high mileage.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 4 Running Shoe:

I've been running in the Nirvana since they first came out and have loved them. I overpronate and wear custom orthotics. HOWEVER, this version has disappointed me. The shoe seems much larger in width and length and I can't find that comfort zone in them. I'm searching again...

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 4 Running Shoe:

Switched from Brooks Adrenaline, and fixed my chronic foot and toe pain. I wear them with orthotics, and together I get enough room for my forefoot with enough stability to keep my feet in line and avoid injury. Ran a half marathon the third day out of the box rather than run in the old shoes that I knew would give me pain, and had no trouble at all.

definitely lots of support, but I have been in pain since about a week after I got these shoes. I've tried cutting back mileage, slowing my pace, etc, and am now going back to my old worn out shoes until I can get something more neutral.

Awful. I am in such pain after running only one or two miles that I cannot continue.
I wish I had bought the shoes from RRS, instead of from a race Expo, because I am out the entire purchase price for a pair of shoes I will never put on again.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 4 Running Shoe:

The low review is the comparison with the "3"'s, which I loved. These had a very, very wide heel so after two runs in them my skinny heel area was screaming. They were "squisky" soft compared to the "3"s. They also caused some pain in my toes. Going to try them as my houseshoes!
