In response to JB entry #7: The reason its far too firm for you is because you are 130 lbs. From running experience and running shoe sales experience you would need to have a larger frame and weigh more (like 170-180+) in order to maximize the technology of the Nirvana. I would suggest a stabili...

I wasn't a big fan of this shoe at first. It felt really clunky, and the cushion rather firm for my liking versus the Trance 7's that I switched out of. However after getting them broken in the cushioning is there. I'll also add that I've never worn a shoe where my ankle felt more secure than in ...

These are pretty good shoes. They have good stability and shock absorbtion. I don't recommend them for forefoot strikers because of the big heel in the back of the shoe. It will interfere with forefoot striking. Overall, it's decent for midfoot and is good for heel strikers.

I'm 6'0", 175lbs, and these are some of the most comfortable running shoes I've bought. A nice breathable upper with a roomy toebox, great arch support (a dream for those with high arches), and moderate stability. As my first stint with Mizuno and the Nirvana 4's specifically, all I can say is I LO...

6'3" 175lbs. This shoe gets a three only because it provides good support. Otherwise, I was disappointed with this shoe. I am now just over 300 miles and the shoe is completely worn out. The shoe has always felt clunky and has not made for a very smooth ride. I would have expected more from a t...

I received my shoes earlier this week as scheduled and have ran in them twice since - two (2) ten (10) mile runs. I have found then flawless to date. Keep running.

Comfortable shoe, but far too firm for me, a 130-lb runner who still needs a stable shoe.

Local professional had me try on the Saucony Omni Ultimate, the Brooks Adreniline and the NB 858s and these Nirvana's. The Nirvana's are well worth the extra few bucks, and I am a cheapskate. Fantastic ride.

6'1 245lbs and these are superb shoes. Tried Trance 7, Adrenaline, Equalon, Beast..these are light, comfortable, secured and a pleasure to run in. No leg/ankle pain whatsoever. These are a winner!!!

Easily one of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn, and I'm 60; been running since high school.

love them love them LOVE THEM. i've put 100 miles on these guys in the first 5 days. best shoes i've ever worn. ran an easy 26.2 the second day i owned them, did it in 3:08 with HR avg of 140. yes those numbers are real; no i'm not an elite. but with these babies and some more racing shoes (miz...

Am a rather heavy weight runner 200lbs. I stopped running many years ago due to shin-splints. I bought Brooks Adrenaline which is also very comparable to this Mizuno Wave Nirvana 4. This shoe has excellent support. After running with the Brooks Adrenaline my shin-splints went away and I am happily r...

I am 5' 10' and 200lbs. I put in around 30 miles a week and have had nothing but good luck with these shoes. Mizuno has done a great job with these and they keep getting better. If you are a heavier runner and prone to shin, ankle, and knee pain these are the shoes for you!

First ever stability shoe I purchased. At 5'10" and 155 lbs, this shoe is a little over-the-top as far as my needs are concerned, however, this is by far the most supportive shoe I've ever worn.

I am a pretty big guy and I found this model gave me ample support with durable, but firm cushioning. The upper is very breathable which I really like. 5 Stars for the new Nirvana!

6ft 2in and 220 pounds. i should be in stability plus from start painful shoe after one mile run. was running wave inspire 4 prior with no problems. good looking shoe but not for those with slight to moderate stability needs

How has the transition been compromised when this is the exact same shoe (misole, wave, outsole) as the Nirvana 3? I personally think the new upper (only change) fits much more naturally than previous. Great update Mizuno!

Have been running in Nirvana 3. The 4 seems to have too much of a transition between heel and midfoot. Not a good update.

This is a very good shoe. Better than New Balance 1223. The ride on this shoe is more firm than the Kayano 14. The Kayano has far more cushioning than the Nirvana. As far as the comments on Roadrunner Sports, I have always been treated great. They do a good job of offering well thoughout advice.
