It seems to me that most people either love or hate this shoe (5 or 1 star). I am a 5 foot 8 15 year old high school runner weighing 115 pounds and running between 30 and 40 miles a week. I love the narrowness of the heel and I was a fan of the Elixir 2. My only complaint is that the traction wore d...

Iam using this shoe to train for my 2nd marathon. 5'8" 160 lbs planning to run a 3:20:00. This shoe is extremely comfotable, supportive and lightweight. It conforms to the foot in the best way. Strongly recommended.

This is my first shoe from mizuno. I am loving em. They r great! They r light and i use them in speedworks and 5k races. I am keep beating my previous records with these shoes. Thats why people call me the animal.

I've been a Marverick/Elixer user for ever and when this one came out I was a little nervous about the toe box...not to worry it's great. I originally got them for races, but now I run in them everyday, and in races and my feet have been very happy with them.

great shoe right out of the box. a 5'8 140lb runner here, good for quick runs, toe box has slightly less than desirable cushion for longer runs. overall a nice light weight shoe that make me want to run hard.

I am a Track runner at Eisenhower, as a distance runner I'm am racking miles up every week. This shoe is a love note to my feet. Great improvement from later Elixir Models with more cushioning and ankle support. Digging the colors!

Me: 6'1", 165 lbs, normal arch I bought this shoe to serve the role of a lighter weight training shoe to compliment my Wave Inspires. It fills that role perfectly. My experience with Mizuno shoes as a whole is that they move with my foot really well (all the mesh maybe?) and this is no exception....

This is a great shoe. After owning the v1 and v2 Elixir, the v3 has better heel fit and more length at the toes. Good grip sole (it's not too noisy or slippery). I wanted to try another brand, but forget it. Try the Asics DS-13 "Wonderbread" or the Saucony "Charmin" Tangent or worse yet the Nike Zo...

I am a diehard Elixer user and when i saw the E3 it had changed from a hybrid stability shoe to a lightweight trainer, so at 170 ibs i was cocerned.Did a PR HALF in them 2 Sundays ago and a 29k run this past Sunday and they were awesome-i can breath easier now.

Love the new update. I have been a Mizuno fan for almost 5 years now, I have run 7 marathons in them and love them. This particular shoe is not for a beginner or someone needing stability or motion control. IT IS A LIGHTWEIGHT TRAINER. I have high arches and am biomechanically efficient, 155 pou...

Great light weight trainer----Bought this shoe for races-- 5k to Marathon. Its perfect. Will not run daily especially distance---but for what its intended its awesome.

If you are reviewing this, please state the type of arch you have. Remember this shoe is categorized in the performance stability class, so it is _suppose_ to be for low to medium arches and small to medium body frame. If you love this shoe and are not in that category, then please say so. I cont...

I agree with CBGB. For me, this shoe fits like a glove, and is comfortable and responsive in a lightweight package. No boxiness here. Your body wants to run up tempo in this shoe.

Simply not a fan. Was very much looking forward to this update but what a disappointment. Arch is odd. No smooth transition, feels cheap and “plasticy.” No forefoot cushion as before. Thank goodness for the Asics DST 13!

Love this shoe! Absolutely great update. Super light weight & fast with tremendous heel to toe transition. Wake up world! This is probably my favorite Mizuno of all time.

Thu, February 14,2008:
Agree that this shoe is much different in terms of both ride and fit in comparison to the Elixir 1 and 2. How does it differ? The fit is narrower both in the heel and the forefoot. The tread pattern is also much different with the old ASICS DS Trainer type micro knobs situated at the front of the...

Mon, February 11,2008:
This is NOT the same show as the Elixir 1 and 2. It fits a bit narrow, which may not be a problem, but more importantly this show now has a higher arch support. For those of us with flat feet, this change from previous Elixir models turns this shoe into a very uncomfortable and painful shoe in whi...
