Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Creation 9 Running Shoe:

Best running shoe I've ever owned, and I have been running for 27 years! I am training for my 3rd marathon now with these and before having them my plantar fascitis was painful, but no more with these sneakers!
I would be lost without them!

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Creation 9 Running Shoe:

I love these shoes! At 5 months pregnant I noticed that my shins were starting to take a real beating from the extra weight. On the recommendation of the people at Road Runner, I got these shoes and have not been disappointed. I am now 7 months along and still running thanks to these shoes.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Creation 9 Running Shoe:

Relegated this to a gym-training shoe. I'm surprised this shoe is advertised as shock absorbing. Stiffest shoe I own, and I own a lot. Virtually no shock absortion in the heel for me, and I'm not a heel striker. Just feels stiff, like I'm running in tap shoes. I'm about 124 lbs, so maybe my weight isn't enough to compress the heel, but running in my Asics Kinetics is like running on clouds by comparison. On the plus side, this shoe fits the foot very well. The toe box isn't as unnecessarily "tall" as with the Asics. Doesn't rub on the toe but isn't excessivly roomy, allowing too much vertical travel, either. The soles of these shoes are very grippy, so they're the best shoes I have for doing planks and lunges in the gym. Just horrible for running, their intended purpose.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Creation 9 Running Shoe:

These are some of the best fitting shoes I have owned. I always have trouble with my heel slipping and they never have with these shoes, even with thin socks. I do have 2 complaints though... 1. DO NOT wear these in mud! 2. The sole gets stiff when temps get below about 40 degrees.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Creation 9 Running Shoe:

I have been a Mizuno brand loyal fan for about 5 years, however each year they seem to have less arch support and cushioning. These shoes look great, and are wonderful for walking... however, with longer distances of running I have been getting calluses/blisters on my medial foot/great toe as well as arch pain. Once I insert orthotics, the shoe is ok. I used to run in the Wave riders... switched to the creation... now i'm wondering if I may go back to trying other brands again.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Creation 9 Running Shoe:

Rubber on the outside heel had worn down to the plastic within first 50 miles (1 week) which makes them a little hard on the wallet and forces some creativity with the shoegoo. However...they do seem th have the perfect amount of cushioning and arch support.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Creation 9 Running Shoe:

I am a huge Mizuno fan, and absolutely love these. I have a rather narrow foot, and this shoe fits perfectly. I love how the cushion in them, how the heel fits, and of course I love the color! I would suggest getting the shoe a half size up though. I'm a 9/9.5, and the 9.5's feel better.

Although the shoe has a nice feel, the material on the outer part of the sole (where I strike the most) does not last long. After a few months of use, I was running on the plastic portion of the shoe.

Love Wave Creations (5'2", 125 lbs, 46, Half marathoner 1:45ish, platypus feet w/ bunions). The elastic in the 9 version makes the shoe not as comfortable as previous versions riding a bit on the instep. Still like the shoe overall...

Love the heel fit. At first try they felt odd, but after 2 runs (even 1 run) these are my new favorites. No more nagging knee pain! Great for high arches as I have.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Creation 9 Running Shoe:

I am a 30+ mile a week, neutral, medium frame marathoner who wears perscription orthodics. I really appreicate the cushion of this shoe. It holds up very well on the long runs; no foot/knee/hip pain and no blisters. I also liked the 9 and think that the upper may be sligthly improved. A good solid shoe. I used to buy Saucony progrid triumph 4's, but the new "5" just lost all its cushion

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Creation 9 Running Shoe:

This shoe is fine if you're only running 5-6 miles. After that I got nasty blisters on the ends of my toes. I can't even walk now let alone run. I gave the shoes two tries but have had to switch. The cushioning is great in the heel but lacking in the forefoot area. Not impressed at all.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Creation 9 Running Shoe:

I've been a loyal Mizuno buyer ever since I first discovered them two years ago. I have to say, a few months ago I spent about $250 in doctors visits and tests for a mysterious pulsating pain in my right calf, which continued even after I stopped running with my last pair of creations. It only went away after I started running again in a different pair of shoes. I recently bought these in hopes that the manufacturer had gotten the kinks out (I read some other bad reviews for that shoe) to no avail. Two runs later, the pulsating was back. I don't think I will be giving Mizunos another chance for a long time. A shame!

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Creation 9 Running Shoe:

I have been running in Mizuno's for about 5 years now and fell in love with the Wave Creation. I am a Marathon runner and have enjoyed the cushion, staying injury free. The 9 though is terrible. The new tongue system has caused my foot nothing but problems. I purchsed two pair of these at the same time, as I usually do with my running shoes, and have been rotating them with my old 8's. I put my 8's on again yesterday and although old and worn, they are by far more comfortable than the 9's. I sure hope Mizuno changes back to the old style. I don't want to have to switch brands when I have been so happy in the past.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Creation 9 Running Shoe:

I wore these for the first time today (5 miles hills) and they were fantastic! The overall cushion is greatly improved from the previous version. I'm 5'3" 145lbs, heavy step runner, and run approx. 20-25 miles per week. My 2 previous versions of the Wave Creation have not held as well as my ASICS Gel Nimbus - the carbon tends to wear off pretty quickly but still wearable but probalby not past 300 miles for me. Lastly, if anyone from Mizuno is reading this, why do the men get all the cool colors>! Please, no more watermelon/pink!

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Creation 9 Running Shoe:

A loyal Wave Creation wearer - these shoes have an elastic tab that connects the tongue of the shoe to the side. I have never had a problem with Mizunos before but Wave Creation 9 gave me blisters on the side of my foot just past my big toe. I have to return them and ordered the Wave Creation 8's. Hopefully they will change back.
