I tried many shoes and had all kinds of issues until this shoe. It is very firm but at 6 1" 205 this shoe gave me excellent stabiltiy and control.

Loved Wave Riders 8, 9 and 10; thought this would be "upgrade" with more cushioning, but they feel harder than my worn-out 10's. Also make clomping sounds and feel like there's a bar running across the middle of my heels. 'First pair I ever needed to return.

I though I'd be a Mizuno man for life after a couple pairs of 7's. 8's just above average. 9's...horrible. Returned after 50 miles. Strap that runs from top eyelets to heel on outside of shoe cut into underside of ankle. Insole slipped and bunched in toe box during hard downhills.
Replaced with Sa...

This is an awesome shoe for me. I weight 220 and this shoe gives me extra cushion more than other shoe. I usually wear nimbus gel or saucony but this shoe really out performs for heavier people.

I thought I was set with the creation8, but tried on the Creation 9 and had to have them. Ran a 22 mile pre marathon the next day, great results.

This shoe stopped being good at 6. Now it's as bad as the Megabounce Plus.

I disagree with the other runners who thought the 7 was great, it was horrible. Loved the 8th & 9th edition

Sure it's a little firm at initial try on but they feel great while running and that is what counts. Haven't you guys figured out this is the same shoe as the 8 with a new upper? Mizuno shoes change every 2 years. The uppers change every year. Do your homework.

Creation 9 is maybe too cushioning for my taste, I didn't find anything wrong with Creation 8, just ran Miami half marathon with them and felt just great, I've used maybe all Creations and I stick to them. Who knows? Maybe I'll change some day...

I have to agree with most other reviewers..I,too, being 190 pounds, loved the Creation up through the 6th or 7th edition..and feel the same about the past editions including the current. This shoe is definitely not for a midfoot striker and even though heel to toe transition is a strength of the Miz...

Awful shoe ! Like many others wore the Creation up to the 7 and loved it. Version 8 was OK, but was very firm and didn't work at all in cold weather (cushioning went very firm). Now version 9 takes the mediocre midsole from the 8 (it's exactly the same) and replaces a good fitting upper with a dread...

I've owned multiple pairs of every Creation through 7, they were fantastic. The 8 was horrible and the 9 is no different. I would have worn them forever but now am wearing Saucony.

Maybe if your a heel striker this isn't the shoe for you. Though, if your athletic and strike mid-sole and if your build is over 200lbs this shoe is a great option. Just like the 8 was. Unlike the other review's I thought the wave Creation 7 was horrible.

The previous reviewer couldn't have said it better. The Creation 3 through 7 (5 was a bit off) were GREAT and were the only shoes that I'd worn for years. The Creation 8 was unwearable for me and caused a lot of foot pain that I hadn't experienced before. Ditto for the 9. I also had to search ou...

Tue, January 01,2008:
Nothing about the '9' series eliminates the problems created by the '8' series. As I can no longer find the '7' series at odd online shoe distributors, I have no choice but to try other brands. Mizuno destroyed this shoe and lost a long-time Wave Creation customer. Any ideas on where I can donate...
