These are my on-season and off-season shoes, and I really like the way these worked out. I used them on long runs and short, they are all over good. They tie up well, they are cushioned medium-well, and they handle miles.

Shoe slaps ground in forefoot. Not really for long runs. Seems better for small step jogging, not so much for long running strides. Not for a mild supernator(sp?). Just not comfortable. I gave up on these at 150 miles:( Has great heal cushioning though.

I recently got fitted for shoes and the was told I mildly over pronate but I have high arches. I purchased these by recommendation and previously ran in the Mizuno Wave Rider 10 and 11 for ears without trouble. When I ran in the Alchemy I experienced severe pain in the balls of my feet as well as ankle pain. I am going back to the Wave Rider. I LOVE Mizuno shoes the Alchemy was not a good fit for me.

I LOVE these shoes!!!! I am extremely flat footed, over pronator, and have slightly wide feet. These shoes have excellent support, whether it's for a run on the treadmill or all day wear, NO pain at the end of the day!! I've been wearing them 5 days a week, for 2 months, running, weights, and have even done a step class in them and they pass the test thru it all!! As for sizing/fit issues, I ordered 1/2 a size up and have never once had black toenails like reported by someone else. The only negative to say I guess, is one day I wore a really thin athletic sock and I didn't like the fit, felt a little loose, so I just wear regular socks. These really are the perfect shoe!

I love this shoe! I am a severe overpronater with a totally flat arch. I like this shoe so well on its own that I didn't even want to put my Spenco insoles into it. Very supportive and stable, nice firm ride (not too gooshy).

Need to buy this shoe a full size up not a 1/2 size up as recommended. I unfortunately learned this the hard way, have a black toed nail as a result.

Very supportive but light, not too stiff. The heel initially seemed a bit hard and clunks a little but the ride was smooth, almost springy and comfortable. Wearing regular socks I had no troubles with the toe box.

i'm a light runner with a high arch and these weren't the best fit FOR ME. i couldn't get much response from the firm cushioning because of my weight. but i do give them 3 as they worked well; also i though the toe box was too roomy.

I never had a proper fitting before and was shocked to find out that I need a stability shoe. I have high to normal arches, all the shoe fitters say I can wear neutral/cushioned shoes. This isn't true because it turns out that my arches have a lot of flex and need extra support under them. I also have fat feet. I was fitted to these and it's like they are custom made! They aren't really comfortable to walk in, but to run they are like heaven on my feet! It feels so good!

i have a semi high arch but these still work well for me. make sure you have good socks that don't cause too much friction with the shoe fabric. overall, an excellent shoe.

nice fit in the heel good support really nice ride, the only thing is the stitching in the toe box rubs, make sure you have good socks.
