Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Precision 9 Running Shoe:

I love these shoes! I weigh about 170 lbs, I have about 350 miles on them and they are still kicking. I just bought two more pairs. I can't find a single thing I don't like about them and I'm worried that I won't like the next version. Please don't ruin these like you did with the Waverider Mizuno.

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Precision 9 Running Shoe:

Very good lightweight trainer; light enough for racing.I'm 5'7" 160 and run 40 miles per week. These shoes accomodate my orthotics well. Fit is snug, not too tight. I have wide forefoot, but these are wide enough to be comfortable there. Durability seems good so far, but I'm only about 300 miles in them. Have tried Saucony Tangent and Brooks Axiom, but these are better than either of them

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Precision 9 Running Shoe:

I have been using Pre 8's and 9's for the last few years. Previous reviewer complained about flexing. This is a neutral shoe and is supposed to be flexible. I need this with my stiff high arches. I use them for general marathon/half training. I'm 170 lbs, medium width feet and just ran a sub-3:00 marathon for reference. Toe box is roomy, but not bad. Cushion is firm and about right for me. Heel-toe is great. Arch in the 9 is higher than in the 8. No other differences.

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Precision 9 Running Shoe:

Precision 9 is an OK shoe. Could be alot better. Listen up Mizuno. It could be lighter by making the upper have more of an open mesh, similar to the Elixir. I've seen pics of the Pre 10 and it still looks to have the heavy, buckling up, upper of the 9. Open mesh is def the way to go. Also, PLEASE implement the use of your G3 DR outsole material in the forefoot, as you did in your neutral racer the Ronin 2. The dotted, lightweight, grippy stuff is AWESOME!! in fact I would love to see you use it on the forefoot of the next Wave Rider 13.
Back to the Pre 9 review. Bring in the upper a bit. Curently too baggy, sloppy.
A GREAT lightweight trainer MUST hug the foot like a glove. In review Mizuno. Open mesh upper, snug up the upper. G3 DR forefoot outsole. This would def make it a 5 star lightweight trainer. I'm super impressed with that G3 DR outsole of the Ronin 2. It should be used in other models too.(Rider, Pre)

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Precision 9 Running Shoe:

The previous model had a softer feel. Mizuno has stiffen the ride on this edition so I'm having to either ride this version out (hoping that the next model will get back to its roots, soft, slipper-like comfort in a lightweight, go fast package). It seems every iteration, Mizuno has made the precision more "substantial" - if I wanted more shoe, I would go with the Riders or Creation. 135lb, 5'8" 90-100miles a week.

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Precision 9 Running Shoe:

Compared to prev model, it has roomier toebox - you may want to size down 1/2 - and the midsole feels firmer. New sole pattern isolates the rubber in the middle of forefoot - seems to wear better for the high-wear spot. Overall, it feels firmer and so far (100 miles?) has been more durable, but 4 stars because I prefer the softer feel of 6 and earlier models. I'm a 5' 8", 160#, forefoot grinder.

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Precision 9 Running Shoe:

Been running in the P since the first model. No longer a "P."Soft and mushy.Grab the forefoot and heel and bend towards each other--collapses easily.Zero arch support, what used to the Wave's signature benefit. Can't do that on the 7, which was nice (can also do it on the 8, another dud).

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Precision 9 Running Shoe:

10 miler right out of the box. 5 mile tempo the next day. Great feel. Heel is snug, midfoot is snug, There is wiggle room in the toe box so if this is a concern i would suggest a half size smaller than your regular size. I'm guessing the life on these is going to be short but we'll see

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Precision 9 Running Shoe:

Not sure how they get by calling this a seamless upper in the description, this is nothing like Pearl Izumi's seemless upper. If you run sockless, dont' be fooled, this has seams that your foot will have to get used to and so far has been very hard on the tops of my feet. Otherwise this shoe is a lot like the previous Precisions which I really liked.

I gave this shoe a 5 after my first 2 runs, also knowing the cushioning wouldn't last to long, but after a 100 miles They are cooked!!!! They feel like 4 0z flats, Can feel everything. Can't spend $90.00 every 2 weeks. Back to the drawing board Mizuno
