I have tried several different brands and these are the first pair that felt the best right out of the box. I am training for the NYC marathon and these shoes have been better than the Nike's I wore in my first marathon. My feet always feel great after my long runs. I did have to switch to a new pair after about 340 miles instead of my normal 400 though. Regardless, I still think they are the best running shoes I have ever owned. I have a normal arch, custom orthotics, and am fairly small at 5'3" and 110lbs. Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Rider 12 Running Shoe: These are great shoes! I trained for and ran a half marathon and then a marathon in these shoes. No knee pain or black toenails. I now have 3 pairs. Love them! Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Rider 12 Running Shoe: LOVE these shoes! Running about 20 miles a week. Have run 7 straight miles in them and they were still comfortable. Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Rider 12 Running Shoe: I have purchased 3 pairs of the shoes, I trained for my marathon, and ran my first marathon with these shoes. I was running 70 miles a week in these shoes, so believe me, these shoes are GREAT!!!! Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Rider 12 Running Shoe: Great shoe for LOW mileage. I have run in the 10s with no problem. These made my feet hurt after only 2 miles. Not worth the money. Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Rider 12 Running Shoe: Used to love this shoe and have worn them for many years. WR12 changed so much that I can no longer wear them. My arch is too high for these shoes and they do not have a wide toebox, no matter what the specifications say. They need to go back to offering a wide/D width. These are a big step back and not an improvement! Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Rider 12 Running Shoe: i absolutely love this shoe! i have very narrow feet, and its awesome for me. The arch is great too.... hopefully others will have the same luck! Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Rider 12 Running Shoe: These shoes rock!!! I had been using the Wave Creation 10 and they were killing my runs. They were heavy and the fit was seriously wierd compared to the 7,8,9s. Therefore, switching to this was the right choice. I'm very happy with these shoes and very happy that they finally make a narrow fit!!!! Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Rider 12 Running Shoe: These shoes are great! I tried the mizuno wave rider 12 because I wear out my asics ds trainers so quickly. I wanted something that will last a little longer and hold up during higher mileage. These shoes are light, soft and flexible. I ran a long run in them right out of the box with no problems. I have orthodics and they fit fine. After several bad shoes and a lot of wasted money I finally found a great shoe! Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Rider 12 Running Shoe: Been wearing Mizunos for 10+ years, too and this 12s are a disappointment because like some of you wrote, my calves and heels hurt after running due to what I think is a lack of support. These are the first Riders I've had where these problems have come up. Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Rider 12 Running Shoe: I just went from running in the 4 pairs of the shoe that preceded this and I definitely am not let down by them. they're still as comfortable and breathable as the others were before. Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Rider 12 Running Shoe: I have been a huge fan of the Wave Rider and find the Wave Rider 12 to be very disappointing. The shoes are too narrow and the fact that the Wide size has been discontinued is very unfortunate. I have 1 pair left of the Wave Rider 11 and don't know what I will try next. A friend of mine also had to relegate her Wave Rider 12s to just short runs because of support issues and blisters. Please bring back the old design and the Wide width!! Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Rider 12 Running Shoe: LOVE this shoe! Comfortable, light and airy. Solved my IT Band problem! Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Rider 12 Running Shoe: My first pair of 12's I bought in January '09 seemed to work (The WR 11's still a lot better!) but the cushioning wore out so fast :( I bought another pair of WR12's in April and the same thing happened--cushioning/support gone before reaching the 300 mile mark. Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Rider 12 Running Shoe: LOVE this shoe!! Ran a marathon in it & not 1 blister. My feet, knees, legs...everything LOVE IT!! Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Rider 12 Running Shoe: I love these shoes! I am 5'4" and 112 lb. w/ narrow flexible feet. I usually run in stability shoes, but gait analysis confirmed that I have a fairly neutral running gait. The 2A width of the Waverider 12 is a custom fit for my feet. These shoes have just the right amount of support for me. They fit snugly and securely. The arch support feels fantastic - the sole of the shoe conforms perfectly to the shape of the sole of my feet. They are very light and flexible with a very good running "feel". They are cushioned yet supportive enough (for me at least) for groomed trail running. I am in the process of increasing my mileage. Currently my average runs are 4 - 5 miles. My pace is significantly faster in these shoes than in my other favorite shoe - the Asics Kayano 13 in the 2A width. I hope Mizuno will continue to offer the Waverider in the 2A width. Hopefully the wide width will also be returned for those who need it - correct width does make a difference! Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Rider 12 Running Shoe: I didn't like the update on this shoe. Was too wide for my foot - and the size 7.5 that fit so great in the Wave Rider 11, now hits my toe at the front and is a bit too small. Needeless to say, they were sent back immediately after trying them on. Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Rider 12 Running Shoe: Lots of room in the toe box, but I do order 1 full size larger than street shoes. I get sole blisters with many shoes and am tough to fit. I've had 10 pair of these with no problems. Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Rider 12 Running Shoe: I went on one run in these shoes and they are being shipped back. This is probably my 5th pair of Mizuno's and the most uncomfortable. Even though they are my size,my feet felt very claustiphobic and hurt. Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Rider 12 Running Shoe: I love, love, love the updates with the 12. The 11 made my toes hurt, and after about 10 miles I felt like I was running bare foot and could feel the road. The 12 have much more cushioning. I've already bought a second pair just in case the 13 is no good. HAPPY RUNNING!
