Comments about Womens Mizuno WAVE Alchemy 9 Running Shoe:

A very nice minimal shoe. This pair is actually comparable to the NB 763s in terms of feel (the Mizunos are slightly more flexible and light). I try to run with a midfoot strike, and this shoe definitely facilitates it, unlike the previous Asics that I had. I'll be watching out to see if the support starts to break down, but after about 40 miles so far, it's too early to tell. Like another reviewer said, the upper is a little high and rubbed a bit on the first few runs, but it doesn't bother me anymore.

Comments about Womens Mizuno WAVE Alchemy 9 Running Shoe:

Horrible shoe! I loved the Wave Alchemy 8, and the 9 is a big disappointment. There is next to no cushoning, but even more importantly, the cushioning under the heal has changed drastically. Before starting my run, it felt like the shoe was cocking my heels outward. About 2 miles into my run, this feeling translated into a huge blister on the inside of my heel. I am very disappointed in these shoes, and now need to look for something new.

By MSG

from Undisclosed

Comments about Womens Mizuno WAVE Alchemy 9 Running Shoe:

I have worn the Alchemys for the last 4 years and am disappointed in this update. The upside is that the shoes are nice and flexible and I feel like they push me onto my toes more. The downside is they have virtually non-existent forefoot cushioning, which starts to hurt the balls of my feet after 10 miles. The Alchemys never had much forefoot cushioning, but the reduction in the 9s is dramatic. In addition, the upper is slightly higher which cases some inner ankle rub. I just snatched up a couple of pairs of 8s I could find online in my size. Its going to be a long year waiting for the 10s....

Comments about Womens Mizuno WAVE Alchemy 9 Running Shoe:

I was discouraged about running shoes until I put on this pair. They give the most comfort and stability of any shoe I have worn. They do wear out quickly, but if you go by the rule that you should replace them every 300-400 miles, they defenitley last that long.
I had knee surgery two years ago and my Dr. told me that Mizuno's were the only shoe he would let me wear and run in. I think that says a lot.

I have been wearing the Alchemy for years. I loved the 7s and was a little dissapointed with the 8s. I am thrilled with 9s.
The alchemy is a light shoe, that I feel comfortable in for hours of running. I have wide feet and high arches and I pronate, these shoes take care of all of that!

Comments about Womens Mizuno WAVE Alchemy 9 Running Shoe:

I had worn Saucony shoes in since I started running some 15 years ago, but either my feet or the shoes have changed and the latest pair I bought felt like pythons squeezing my feet. Not looking forward to trying a new shoe, I was pleasantly surprised to find how well the Mizuno Wave Alchemy 9 fit. They are also much lighter in feel than the shoes I'd been wearing. The feel of the shoe is harder and I am happy to be running on dirt trails rather than cement streets or cobblestones at the moment. I worry too that they'll wear out too quickly--but so far so good.
