Cons Best Uses Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 6 Running Shoe: I run in these shoes at the gym 4-6 times a week for an hour each time. These shoes are so comfortable, it has great support, it's amazingly breathable and agile. I am a Mizuno fan, so it's no surprise to me that I love this shoe. I did find that I had to buy this shoe a whole size larger than my Mizuno Wave Creation running shoes. Also, for those of you that have never worn Mizuno running shoes, I wore my Mizuno Wave Creation shoes for well over a year and they still haven't fallen apart one bit! Truth be told, you get what you pay for! Don't be afraid to spend a little extra money if you're truly serious and passionate about running.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 6 Running Shoe: Having had over-pronation issues, my physical therapist recommended the Mizuno Wave Nirvanas. I've been running in them now for about 2 years and absolutely love them. Mizuno did an excellent job with the Nirvana 6, it's a great update to the 5 and they definitely took any little problems and improved upon them. The sneaker is a bit on the heavier side, but this model is lighter than it's predecessor and overall offers a tremendous amount of support. I've recently run a 200 mile relay in them and felt great the entire time! I would (and always do) recommend these to any runner looking for support and a fantastic sneaker!

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 6 Running Shoe: Wow, these shoes are awesome. I actually have very wide flintstone flat feet but found motion control shoes to be way to heavy and too firm. I went to Roadrunner Sports in Napersville, IL and my salesperson suggested these shoes. I increased my speed tremendously, no longer have blisters and callouses. I think if there was anything more I would like in them, would be just a bit more cushioning at the ball of the feet. Thanks Muzuno for an awesome shoe.

Cons Best Uses Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 6 Running Shoe: After being fitted for my shoes, I was told I have average arches, one being a bit higher than the other. I require good heel support, as I have plantar fasciitis. They recommended the Wave Creation 11 for me and after taking them home and moving about in them, I decided the arch was just way too high for me, as I had a major cramp in the arch of my foot from them.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 6 Running Shoe: Just had a tendon repaired in my ankle and needed a running shoe with more stability as I slowly ease back into running. I've always worn Mizuno, so I checked these shoes out for their promotion of stability and pronation control. EXCELLENT! Keeps my ankle from rotating too much during running, whether on the treadmill or on the street! Love these shoes! Thanks, Mizuno! You rock!

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 6 Running Shoe: Mizunos are awesome. The Mizuno Nirvnas are truly for overpronators. If you are neutral or an underpronator you will end up sliding off the outside of the platform. Us neutral runner should stick with the Wave Riders for comfort in the absence of stability.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 6 Running Shoe: I run 35-42 miles a week. Mizunos are one of my favorite running shoe, I have had alot of luck ordering this shoe and finding it to be comfortable with cushion & support without being able to try them on first. Mizunos are just good that way! I wear a 6.5, and this shoe did warn me to order a .5 size up but I have never had to before with Mizuno so when I received them they were a little small, had to return and get a different pair. Definately listen to the warnings about size.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 6 Running Shoe: I have been running distance for 20 years. Switched to Mizuno about 6 years ago and have switched all my daughters to Mizuno as well. Recently however we have all noticed that the size is about 1/2 smaller than before. I have run in a 6.5 for 20 years, and now I am in a 7.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 6 Running Shoe: 8 weeks before the New York city marathon, I came down with my first case of shin splints. I've been running for years without problems, but my mileage was higher than it's ever been. These shoes absolutely saved me. I took 5 days off, and when I came back and used these shoes, I was able to run again. I highly recommend these if you are having problems with your shins.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 6 Running Shoe: I've been in a Kayano forever and decided to branch out with this Mizuno. So glad I did. This shoe was comfortable from day one. There was absolutely no breaking in required. I was worried that I'd notice less cushioning since it's lighter than the Kayano, but so far it's been great. I also like the darker background fabric as far as asthetics go. I'm hoping they won't look quite so lived in by the time I run my next half.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 6 Running Shoe: This is my first pair of Mizuno running shoes, I love them, they are comfortable, they give me the support I need for pronation but also give me the extra cushioning in the ball of the foot which I need. I wear them all the time, for walking and running!

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 6 Running Shoe: My husband has run in Wave Nirvanas for years, and he started buying them for me several years ago. I am a walker. I love the shoes. Very supportive and durable. They're worth the money - they support the old adage that you get what you pay for. This shoe is consistently of the highest quality.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 6 Running Shoe: I absolutely love these shoes! I actually returned a different pair of shoes and bought these instead and am so pleased with my decision. I feel like I have the support and comfort I need to run effectively and to be at my very best. In fact these are probably the best shoes I have ever had!

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 6 Running Shoe: I loved the alchemy 7, but hated the 8 so I moved up to these. They are everything the alchemy SHOULD have been in the redesign.
Pros

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 6 Running Shoe: While these are great shoes, I don't think they are quite what I need. I have low arches and supinate and they just aren't the "it" shoes to help with my shin splints. They are comfortable for walking and seem to be very durable. I would recommend them, they might work better for you.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 6 Running Shoe: I'm a mid-high arched mild overpronator with very low foot volume and a tendency to get blisters no matter what shoes or socks I wear. This is the only shoe that does not give me blisters, and it has made the past couple months of half-marathon training an absolute breeze. I no longer live in fear of the next blister! Seriously, I love these shoes - they breathe really well, have a good amount of control, and decent cushion. I had to go up a whole size in them, though. Other than that, they are perfect. Consider me a Mizuno convert.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 6 Running Shoe: Go a 1/2 size up, especially is using with orthotics. I love this shoe to go from road to trail without changing shoes. Snazzy color scheme! Good pronation control without feeling like you are wearing big clunkers!

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 6 Running Shoe: I train for 1/2 and full ironmans so I need a shoe that is going to hold up during my workouts. I have been training with this shoe for 5 years and have had nothing but success. They brought me into an ironman finish in 2009 for an overall win! Thanks Mizuno and Road Runner Sports!

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 6 Running Shoe: These have been by far the best shoe from the Nirvanas. I have had the previous ones but this has given me the support for my ankles and knees. They have been a great shoe. Hopefully they won't discontinue it any time soon...

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 6 Running Shoe: This is a really nice shoe, but the fit and feel just weren't right for me. This shoe runs smaller than other mizuno models...maybe because it's so curved. The padded collar is nice and they have overlays that really do their job. A solid platform, but not stiff. Work well with superfeet and do not lose their shape from the orthotic. I just couldn't get used to the way it felt along my big toe. This shoe is solid but a bit heavy.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana 6 Running Shoe: I have worn Nike's all of my life. I recently went into a Roadrunner store to be re-evaluated because I have been battling planters fascitis for almost a year. We compared this shoe to the Nike and this shoe offered me more support. I have been wearing it the past couple of days and have not had any problems with rubbing or blisters. It does not have as much cushion as the Nike I was used to, but the support is helping my foot and this shoe is very comfortable. I would highly recommend this shoe! Do need to go up at least a half size if not a whole size.
