      I ordered this shoe through the APO system because I am currently deployed and when I received the shoe, there was no reason to "break the shoe in" I was able to lace up the shoe strings and run six miles... This is an excellent shoe and I plan to purchase an additional pair within the next few weeks..

      Both my husband and I have been Wave Ascend wearers for about two or three years now. I will not wear any other shoe. We run trails almost exclusively and these shoes really provide traction and adequate support for our feet.

            I have found that Mizunos in general fit my feet the best. I run in Inspires and Elixirs. The sizing for me for all my Mizunos is a full size up from my street shoe size (I think it is b/c of my long toes). I run 30-50 miles/week. I have tried other trail shoes, and I always had problems getting the lacing right to feel comfortable and not have a "baggy" feeling so I can feel secure in my shoes, especially on trails. The uppers do not seem to be designed for a lot of water resistance, but that is why the shoe is so light. I try to running trails when it is too wet and muddy. So the Ascends are just perfectly great for me!

              This is my third pair of ascends, and they have proven reliable on all counts. That's why I keep buying them. My running consists mostly of 5-6 mile runs, but I feel I could run for miles in these shoes. Just the right amount of cushioning without feeling "bouncy".
              My only complaint is that they do wear on the tread, wish they were a little more durable.
