          I am pretty competitive runner (sub 16-5k, 2:35 marathon), and loved the first Musha. Since then I have tried the other Mizunos and Asics and couldn't find one so responsive to fast running, but still light. This series #3 Musha is awesome in terms of energy return, comfort and speed. I will give it a whirl in an marathon in 6 weeks. I have no doubt they will be great. I hope Mizuno keeps going with this shoe, as they are the best I have found in recent years.

            I bought these shoes for my son. I was disappointed with the bulkiness and weight of kids' athletic shoes. While not minimalist, these shoes are light, low (to the ground), clean, and beautiful. They are cushy enough to be used in a variety of conditions and distances. My son loves them. It's a big upgrade compared to the kids athletic shoes he's worn in the past.

            A few potential cons: 1) They don't provide much traction, with a rather slick sole. 2) The base of the shoe is a true running shoe, without much lateral support.

            I'm going to try this brand in the future for myself.

            Overall I am pleased with the shoe. I have wide feet and probably should have gone up a size to compensate. It's difficult finding a flat needing a wider box. I normally wear a 12W and probably should have opted for the 12.5.

            This shoe is not for those looking for support or long wear. It is light and fast.
