I have been a mizuno fan after I started running in the wave riders. In my view, this shoe is what exactly mizuno line up had been missing.

The fit is exactly as the Wave Rider - comfortable, and exact
The cushion is excellent in the rear as well as the front. It will not be as soft as the other brands.
The ride quality, transitioning, and the flexibility makes this shoe as the best I have ever run.
The quality of the materials are impeccable.

Overall it is an excellent choice for neutral runners especially for mizuno fans, just get this shoe.

First of all the sizing...I wore a size 9 the Rider 13 but with both the Rider 14 and this Enigma I feel 9.5 is a better fit ...for me.
I am a 62 year old runner with 31 years experience..former marathoner...who is a midfoot striking 190 pounder who wears an orthotic in my left shoe only. This is the shoe I have been looking for in the Mizuno line...you can either consider it a beefed up Rider or a softer Creation..The upper is probably the most comfortable of any shoe I have ever worn. The arch support is a little less than the Rider. Transition is excellent and cushioning is great but not marshmallow like the Vomero,Cumulus..I LOVE IT..and like all runners hope Mizuno doesn't mess with this one...

i run about 30-40 miles a week. only have 25 miles on these so far so i cannot rate the overall durability. i like the cushioned feel with a bit of firmness to it so these are perfect for me. one of the things that i did notice is that the insole seems to curl up at the sides of the forefoot and i can feel the edges when making sharp turns...not a big deal but i do notice it. i marked them as feeling a half size small since i had to move up to 11.5's.

I am 6'3" 200lbs and log about 30-45 miles a week. These are like the Wave Rider 9's or 10's I love them. I replaced my WR14's with these. The break in was very quick and they loosened up great. They cushion great without feeling too soft. The toe box is a perfect fit for my foot. I can't say this would be the perfect shoe for everyone but for those of you who loved the previous models of Wave Riders but dislike the 14's then this would be a great choice. The only complaint that I have is that the Enigmas are slightly heavier by 2 oz than the Rider.

I just ordered my second pair of the Enigma's after having run in Wave Riders for quite a while. I have been running for over 35 years and this is quite possibly the best shoe I have ever run in. It is very comfortable and has held up much better than a typical pair of the Riders. As far as sizing goes I have actually moved up a full size in the Mizuno's as compared to regular shoes that I wear just to give my toes a little more room. Even with the increase in length this shoe still fits great. I run around 25 miles a week and typically rotate among three pair of shoes (beginning to wear out, middle-life and new) and this shoe has worked just great. I just hope that they continue to make it. I would highly recommend this shoe.

Bought these from another retailer because I had a gift card but the price on RR is great. I must say that these shoes are an Enigma. They have great cushioning but don't run like a heavy trainer. I race in the Precisions and these feel almost as light as those. What a great shoe. A must have. I am 170 lbs and run about 25 mls a week.

This is a great shoes. It provides great cushion, especially in the forefoot. It has a great firm feel while still feeling plush. And after a short breaking in period, they become a very flexible and fast moving shoe. It also has great inherent stability, so mild pronators can wear them. I now have 300 miles on mine, and they still feel great--very durable. Mizuno may have made the perfect neutral shoe.

The shoe has a great feel for running and high endurance cardio activity. I usually will run and then go into a kickboxing class with this shoe and I always feel comfortable when done. Plus the color are great...Orange and Blue- Go Gators!
