I've been rotating through the Wave Rider 14 and Wave Creation 12 for a while. While I love both of those shoes, I have found myself wishing for something a little more cushioned in the forefoot department. This is that shoe! It has the flexibility and ability to feel the ground that I love in the Rider, yet it also stands up to higher mileage like the Creation - it is the perfect balance of both designs with a little more cushion over the mid/forefoot without being squishy. The Wave Enigma is exactly what I have been looking for in a shoe. On a girly note, it is also pretty great looking in person.

This is the most comfortable running shoe I have ever owned. It has excellent mid & fore-foot cushioning while still remaining flexible & responsive. Arches are securely wrapped, toe box is nice & roomy & the tongue is softly padded. It feels light and airy but supportive on your foot. I would not use it in place of a trail runner on rough trails, but it holds up well on the rough stone dust of the Erie Canal trail. Very pretty shoe, but I wish it came in a silver or gray version, too. I need to go up one full size from my normal shoe size for this & other Mizuno shoes. I am an older, light-weight runner who does not race but takes her running seriously.

After trying more than 15 different running shoes, I'm keeping these. I under pronate and the Wave Enigma helps me to maintain a more neutral foot strike. I've worn them in both 10K and half marathon races and while they are heavier than my Nike Free 3.0s, they are overall a better package for road/light trail racing. Very pleased.

I have used this shoe for higher mileage runs training for a half-marathon. Great balance of cushion, support, and breathability. Will keep using this shoe in the future.

Recovery from broken bones in BOTH of my feet and these have gotten me on the road to recovery. My ortho actually recommended them immediately after I was out of the "boot". They are comfortable and are great neutral shoes.
