Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Prophecy Running Shoe: I have been a Nike Vemero freak for years. I hesitated in trying these as I have done in the past with other brands. I've always gone right back to the Nike brand. These shoes have sold me on everything I need in a running shoe. I bought an extra pair to alternate. I will say it took a few times running in the Prophecy to get the feel since the ride of the shoe is different than what I wore previously. I love them and get a lot of complememts on the look of the shoe.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Prophecy Running Shoe: This shoe feels TOTALLY DIFFERENT than anything I've ever tried. The ride is super smooth. The shoe is lightweight and cushioned. Running on the pavement felt like running on trails. Not going to lie, I felt like I was 'blood doping' while running in these shoes. Awesome feel, great durability. I'm sold.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Prophecy Running Shoe: I have been power walking to lose weight and get in shape for 16 months but am very new to running - the last six months or so. Teaching myself to run has also taught me about the necessity of the right shoes and what they will do if they're not right! I went through many brands before figuring out that I need neutral+ shoes and fell in love with Mizuno - my first love the Wave Enigma. Out of this world comfy! I trained and walked/ran 26.2 in them with zero issues - in fact every part of my body complained afterwards BESIDES my feet! I could tell they were wearing out when I started getting shin pain. I knew the Wave Prophecy was next on my "I want list" so when sale opportunity knocked I went for it. These shoes took me about 3 runs to get used to. While the sole is designed for shock absortion, it is also made of hard materials so it feels more firm but at the same time is very flexible. Now that I am used to running in them I LOVE THEM. They guide my feet in a natural way from a smooth landing to propelling me forward. I would not, however, recommend these shoes for JUST walking. The shoe is definately designed to guide the foot while running. Not to say that you can not walk in them because I do but I can tell these shoes were definately designed to be ran in! And run in them I do! After two weeks my shin pain has receeded to almost none, my lower back does not ache afterwards and my feet are just plain happy. The soft mesh molds to your foot shape and would be very forgiving for wide feet. I love the elastic attached to either side of the tongue so it can not slide to the side. My only complaint is color choices - they're really not great - but I have not let that stop me because I now have TWO pair so I can rotate. My run time is improving and I plan to wear them to run a half marathon at the end of September. Knowing now how great these shoes are I would not hesitate to pay the full price for them - the sale was just a bonus. I consider it insurance and preventive maintenance for my feet, knees, hips and back. Try them, you are worth it!

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Prophecy Running Shoe: I thought my Mizuno Waves were the best thing I could wear to help alleviate foot and knee pain. THEN, I read all the published reviews of the Prophecy. I thought all the writers felt they had to write positive remarks because of the price. Well, I received an RRS gift card for Christmas and decided to put it toward these very expensive shoes. They are worth the price! I have not had the first foot or knee pain. I experience no more lower back pain after a long run. I actually enjoy running again. I had chalked up my discomfort to my being 51 years old! The shoes are also curved just a bit at the toe, so I suspect my big toe won't make it through the mesh like some of my other pair. Wearing is believing!

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Prophecy Running Shoe: I'm one of those runners that gets injured every time that I try to break in a new pair of shoes and this year was no exception. After some research and foot analysis, figured out that I was running in the wrong shoes. I found these online and after reading the reviews, decided to give them a try. Prior to getting them, I had been having significant pain in my left calf when running...I was able to wear these right out of the box and have had zero pain since. They are amazing at absorbing shock and fit perfectly. I listed them as a "half size small" as I wear an 8.5 and generally run in a 9 to give just a little more room...these feel like I'm running in an 8.5 which is still totally ok. I'd recommend these shoes without reservation and I agree that they are worth every penny. I love to run...it's the one thing that helps calm me down, recenters me, gets me to be out in nature...when I'm injured, I'm a mess. $200 on a pair of shoes that gets me back to calmness is completely worth it! Give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Prophecy Running Shoe: This shoe is worth every penny! I have hallux limitus (big toe arthritis) and the prophecy has allowed me to run pain free...even at the half marathon distance. The shoe's stiff rocker-like toe box results in minimal impact on the toes. I highly recommend this shoe to anyone with foot or toe pain. It is truly amazing. One side note...I did not have the same good results with the prophecy 2...so I bought extra pairs of this original model. Happy running!

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Prophecy Running Shoe: I run 40-45 miles a week. When I first tried these shoes, I thought it was my dream shoe, it provided the support I needed. My ankle pain was gone. After running many miles in them, the upward curve on the shoe was bruising my toes. I thought it was time to get a new shoe, so I let my toes heal and bought a new pair. I still experienced bruised toes. Having your toes at a constant upward position on long runs several times a week is not healthy. I wish they would improve on this shoe by minimizing the toe curve, then I would buy 10 pairs. Almost my dream shoe.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Prophecy Running Shoe: I am getting older but still want to run. Training for a half and my hip was giving me some major trouble. Thought I'd have to give up on the goal. After reading the reviews, decided to give these a try when I had a discount coupon. They are everything the reviews said they were. I use them strictly on my long runs and my hip pain is gone. I've run a half three times in three weeks now without pain afterwards. Only con is you really can't run on gravel roads in them. The sole plate just doesn't flex enough. For that same reason, I wouldn't wear them on trails. The only reason I didn't give them five stars was the high price.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Prophecy Running Shoe: Great shoe! I was concerned about the weight at first, however the shoe is comfortable, efficeint and by no means "clunky" I enjoy my runs even more with these shoes - +30 miles per week.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Prophecy Running Shoe: I am a bit of a shoe geek. I decided on these shoes and was a bit leery about paying so much for them but after wearing them to run for about 2 months now all I can say was the money was worth it!! My knee pain has stopped and they are so comfortable. At first they felt a bit different as they tend to land more on the balls of your foot but what a difference. I run about 35-40 miles a week and these have become my go to shoes!!!

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Prophecy Running Shoe: I bought these shoes after trying Saucony and Asic (which had been recommended to me). I read the reviews and decided to dive in. I have tendonitis in my ankle from a previous injury and these shoes offer the most relief both during and after my runs, they are so comfortable. I love the rocking technology, you feel it as soon as you put them on. I plan to buy another pair when these wear out. My sister also bought a pair and she runs 2 or 3 times the miles I do in a week, and she loves them too. I highly recommend these shoes!

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Prophecy Running Shoe: I felt that this shoe was way too heavy and clunky. I noticed that my heal hit first because of the bulkiness of it. I was very disappointed in this shoe after all of the wonderful reviews. I would not recommend this shoe to anyone that runs more than 20 miles a week. The heal strike is a big problem for me.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Prophecy Running Shoe: I'm on my second pair...they are worth the money. You get many more miles out of these shoes! I cannot really comment on the arch, because I wear them with superfeet. I have run several marathons in these and a half, plus tons of training. I feel I could keep going in them, but the sole is a bit cracked. I am happy with the wear I have gotten out of these shoes. I always order half a size up in Mizunos

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Prophecy Running Shoe: The first time out with these shoes, I ran a 1/2 marathon and they were very comfortable. They fit like a glove. They run the standard 1/2 size up like always, at least for me. GREAT SHOE!
