Returned to the wave rider 15 after years of happiness with 12&13. The 14s were not wearable for me and apparently Mizuno agreed and now the 15s are much more like the 13s. Put in 13 miles on trails today and they feel great. Hopefully they won't change the formula again, as I go through about 6 pairs a year in training, including hopefully my first ultra this year.

I've worn the Wave Rider 13's, 14's, and now the new 15's. The 14's didn't fit quite right, although overall I enjoyed them. The 15's feel a lot like the 13's did and i'm glad they went back to those features. Maybe a little less cushioning than the 14's, but a great combination of road feel and support. I have a narrow foot and they are great because of that. The arch support isn't overly abundant, but I like that. Overall I highly recommend these shoes, but if you are looking for a very pillowy ride, you might want to look elsewhere.

I agree that this shoe is not as cushioned as the 14. It has a different feel to previous versions of the rider. It has a snug fit and a nice transition. So far I am enjoying the shoe, but wish it had a tad more cushioning.

Have run in Wave Rider series for many years. WR 14 did not fit right and felt different. This shoe is back to the norm: low profile, lightweight, not too cushiony, great fit. I alternate this shoe with the Ghost 4, but the WR seems faster.

Switched to the WR 15 from Asics and have not looked back. These shoe are very comfortable and equally reliable on treadmills and the running trail around our camp here in Djibouti. The terrain here is very rough and uneven but the WR 15 have stood up to the challenge. I am ordering at least 2 more pair to complete my deployment in comfortable running shoes.

I've had four pair of Mizuno's...they have been all I have run in for years. I purposely skipped the Wave Rider 14 because of the negative reviews concerning the high ankle. So I was excited to get these but have been disappointed. Generally running shoes have felt fine from the start, but for some reason, these felt like boards on my feet. The arch support seems to be gone. ?? My arches killed me for the first several runs I had in these shoes. The whole insole feels bumpy inside.
I did run a half marathon in these last weekend, and they finally seem to be softening up a bit. A strange experience with Mizuno's that I've never had before.
So my conclusion is...give them plenty of time to be broken in and they will be fine.

You definitely won't be making a mistake with these shoes. They feel perfect right out of the box. Go 1/2 size up for perfection. I chose the red and black just like my last pair of Mizuno shoes (Wave Enigma) and they look great. These shoes have performed well both on trails and on the road so far. I also wear them all day in the office! :)

I've been running for years and use a variety of brands. The Mizuno 15 is probably the best feeling shoe I've ever run in. Fantastic fit, just the right amount of cushioning. Plenty of room for toes, yet tight fit everywhere else.

I had been liking my Wave Rider 14s well enough (had not experienced the high heel issue reported by others), but figured I'd move along to the 15s for the New Year as I was intensifying my post-surgical training regimen (had the second of two hip resurfacings in Q3 of 2011).

Thus far I have not been disappointed even though my bionic hips are still not capable of handling the impact of road running. I have wide forefeet (so I buy the 2E width -- thanks Road Runner for stocking widths!) and high arches (I use RR's 3/4 length "BFF" insoles) and thus configured this shoe really does hit the sweet spot for me.

Very breathable, and good lateral stability on the treadmill and turf.
