You can feel the loss of weight immediately upon hitting the pavement. The blueish/pink color is really cute too! Pros

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Rider 16 Running Shoe: I am a marathon runner and average 30-45 miles of running a week. I have never had a blister or hot spot on my feet since wearing these shoes. I'm very sad to see that Mizuno thought they could improve it with a '17'. NOT SO, the so called 'improved' version is no where improved, it's worse...horrible! Wish they would leave a great product alone. I will NOT be buying the '17' and will be in search for another super shoe, maybe another Mizuno, maybe not.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Rider 16 Running Shoe: Love the Waive Rider 16! Pleeeeze bring it back as I can't find my size any more. Had I known Mizunou was going to completely ruin the shoe with the 17, I would have bought more. Lesson learned.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Rider 16 Running Shoe: I use these tennis shoes for everything: running (usually on my treadmill), shopping, even staying at home, as I cannot be barefooted anymore... They were the solution to my problems: 1) wide feet (the wide width is just perfect) ; 2) high arch. I am overweight now and due to a plantar fasciitis, I was giving up running. I could not bear the pain.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Rider 16 Running Shoe: This is my second consecutive pair. It is a great training shoe. Relatively light weight, comfortable, the right amount of cushion/support. They are easy to break in and get more and more comfortable as they mold to your foot. I especially like them because I have a VERY narrow foot and they come in 2A sizes. This is a great shoe!

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Rider 16 Running Shoe: Recent Asics to Mizuno convert. Neutral with high arches found these to be very comfortable and light weight for 2-6 mile runs. Haven't been able to go longer due to injury.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Rider 16 Running Shoe: This was the first time I wore Mizuno brand sneakers and made my choice based on the previous reviews. I usually wear Asics which I do not have a problem with. The shoe fit true to size but more narrow that I am used to so I tried the Wide Width which felt better. I usually wear a regular width shoe but the Wide Width felt more comfortable. I also have friends who swear by this shoe and I do believe it works for other people, it is just not the shoe for me. They look very well made also. I have had pain in the past with plantar fasciitis and shin splints and after my first run with these sneakers I felt great; however, the next day I had so much pain from shin splints. I have not been in pain like that for about a year and was surprised how much pain i was in. I don't know if my feet were striking the ground differently or what but that was the only change to my usual running routine so I am guessing the cause of my pain was the shoes. Thanks to Road Runner for your great customer service. As I said earlier I am sure these shoes are great for some people, they are just not for me. I would recommend them to a friend to try because I know from close friends they do work for them.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Rider 16 Running Shoe: I have a Morton's Neuroma as well as some hamstring issues in my Rt thigh due to a pinched nerve in my lumbar area. I primarily run in Newton Gravities but wanted to find another type of shoe to rotate with the Newtons. I have tried various models of Nike, Brooks, NB and Saucony with no luck. Thankfully RR sports is easy to return shoes to and try another pair! The Mizuno Wave Rider 16 feels the closest to a Newton running as any shoe I have tried. They are very springy and I can run as fast in these as I do with my Newtons. They also are the only shoes other than Newtons that has not caused my Neuroma to flare up and does not irritate my hamstring or sciatica. I am assuming this is because of the great cushioning. My journey to find running shoes that does not cause my problems to flare up or to become worse is now over! It will be Mizunos and Newtons for me all the way!

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Rider 16 Running Shoe: Run about 3-4 times a week and loves these shoes. Mizuno Wave Riders are my go to running shoes. Run half and a full marathons in this shoe. Love that I can buy these in women size 12. The toe box is not too big and great colors. Many times people try to put me in men shoes and I hate it. They never fit right (too wide) and the colors are not great. These fit good, are light and are by far my favorite running shoe.

Best Uses Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Rider 16 Running Shoe: Never bought a more uncomfortable shoe with very little cushion! Especially for a running shoe! I'm not a long distance or hard core runner, I'm more of a beginner runner, running approximately 10 miles per week. I like doing other things like yoga, kickboxing, cross-fit and other conditioning type classes in addition to a few miles a couple days per week. This shoe isn't cushioned enough or comfortable enough for that. I was extremely disappointed! Previously I've ran in Asics, Nike, Brooks and will probably return to Brooks. I had heard and read so many good things about this shoe, but just don't see it. These were returned, there's much better out there.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Rider 16 Running Shoe: I am a runner with some problems... runner's knee and most recently plantar fasciitis. I used to wear newtons gravity for abt 2 years, great for my knees, yrained me to run with good form. Now with PF, newtons are not the right shoes for me. RRS recommended Mizuno waverider 16, I have high arches, and narrow feet. They fit perfectly, feels great. I also got the custom fit insoles from the store, and now running feels heavenly. No foot pain. No uncomfortable toes. My PF is controlled. I love these shoes!

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Rider 16 Running Shoe: Training for a marathon this fall, this is the second pair I've purchased because I like them so much. That is saying something from me because I never buy the same one again. Light weight but cushioned enough for the long runs. I've also raced 5ks in them.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Rider 16 Running Shoe: So glad that Wave Rider went back to type of fit found in the first 9 versions. I have a narrow heel with wide forefoot and high arches. I size up an additional half size to use custom arch support. Love the roomy toebox and look forward to long runs without dead toenails. These shoes are nice and light but still stable enough to step off the road and not roll over. I run about 15 miles/week.

Cons Best Uses Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Rider 16 Running Shoe: I am currently training for my first 1/2 marathon. I bought the Mizuno wave rider after recovering from runners knee in a worn out pair of running shoes. I run on pavement, and I have been very pleased with this shoe. No more runners' knee. On a side note, I will definitely buy from roadrunner again! Fed Ex somehow lost the original shipment containing my shoes. Roadrunner sent me a new pair, expedite shipping! They handled all the paper work and claim filing with FedEx! I'm a very satisfied customer!

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Rider 16 Running Shoe: My whole body, especially my feet, changed so much after having my first baby. She's a year old now and after trying endless shoes to suit my new needs, I've finally found the perfect pair! I have a high arch but over pronate, and I'm a heel striker. But I hate stability and motion control shoes! I decided to go for a neutral and these really feel like heaven. Lightweight but still lots of cushion, especially in the heel. With my inserts, I feel enough arch support. And the shoe feels like it propels me with every step! I feel like my runs are faster and easier and I look forward to finally increasing my mileage!

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Rider 16 Running Shoe: I really like this shoe. I ran in them about 3 times and had to return them because they just didn't fit me around the ankle. Heel collar was too stiff and and came up too high for me so they started to cause sore spots. Otherwise, I still think this a great neutral shoe if it fits someone well - good cushioning, flexibility and support for distance runs.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Rider 16 Running Shoe: Went on a 7 mile run (concrete trail) right out of the box (I was excited about getting my new shoes) and had no problems! The biggest difference (15 vs 16) that I immediately noticed after putting them on is the heel cuff seems to be looser than my 15's and does move a bit but not so much that I have gotten raw spots. I am small-framed and have practically no arch but these shoes give me the base support I need. They do feel a bit lighter than the 15's. Again, the roomy toe box has luckily gone untouched - my toes and toenails thank Mizuno for this! I wear a 7-7 1/2 in everyday shoes but order an 8 in my Mizunos. Overall, I will stay with the 16's and with Mizuno. These are my 5th pair over 3 editions.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Rider 16 Running Shoe: This was one of three shoes suggested for me after I was fitted/assessed. These fit the best. I have a wide foot and these fit the most comfortably, and my heel stayed in them best. They are light and airy, while providing comfortable cushion for your feet. They make me want to run!

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Rider 16 Running Shoe: I just started training for a half marathon and I was looking for a shoe that provided good support and cushion but that wasn't heavy or clunky. I am not an experienced runner so I had to try a few different shoes before I found the right pair. These shoes provide great cushion, support but still give great feedback from the road.
