Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Rider 17 Running Shoe: I got a great deal on this shoe and had doubts about how well it would work for me. I had to order a full size larger as there is no 13.5 size available. I have plenty of toe room for sure. As with all shoes I purchase I replace the insoles with upgrades that offer better cushioning and comfort. The insoles in the Mizuno Wave Rider work okay, but can definitely use improvement in this regard as all shoes do. I walk at least 4 miles per day on pavement so the extra cushioning is needed. Great shoe for the money.

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Rider 17 Running Shoe: These are by far the most comfortable shoes and help tremendously with my plantar fasciitis.

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Rider 17 Running Shoe: I've been in Mizuno Wave Rider since the 11 model. My last 2 models (16 & 17)started to wear out very quickly after just 50 miles at the tissue in the bending part of the forefoot close to the rubber front.
Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Rider 17 Running Shoe: Haven't run on Mizunos since the Waverider 5 which were great. These seem to be lighter than the Waverider 5s I had previously. I'm 210 lbs and run 15-20 mi/wk. I only have 15 miles on these shoes but I'm having issues with some "hot" spots on the balls of my feet after 4 miles. Even tried different insoles which helped a bit but did not get rid of the hot spots completely. I'm thinking I may be too heavy for these shoes, but I'll continue using them for my shorter runs and see if they break in after a few more miles.

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Rider 17 Running Shoe: I loved my first pair of the Wave Runner 17's, so I ordered two more before they go out of production. Love this shoe. The only downside is that there isn't a lot of cushioning for rough surfaces/dirt roads. However, I love them and highly recommend them.

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Rider 17 Running Shoe: I run about 20-ish miles per week all outdoors. 5'8" 175 lbs with very high arches. These are light weight and well cushioned shoes. I usually get 350 - 375 miles before replacing them. Been running off and on with the Wave Riders back to the Wave Rider 6 or 7.

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Rider 17 Running Shoe: Love these running shoes. I like the lightweight support. I have high arches . Also like the style. I would not recommend these shoes for off-road running because while they are arch supporting, they tend to let you feel every rock and bump.

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Rider 17 Running Shoe: I was suggested to purchase these, and check them out. The shoes are comfortable to wear and have a nice cushion to them. They're not too soft, but just right. The material is breathable, and the toe box is not tight at all. I wear a wide size, and my feet don't feel cramped up.

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Rider 17 Running Shoe: From the first run, this became my favorite. It feels light on the feet like my Evo Levitas or my Nike Free Flyknits, but offers all the comfort and cushioning of my Wave Rider 15s.

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Rider 17 Running Shoe: The shoes are great but the service was bad. When I ordered the shoes its showed there were 8 pairs in my size in stock. So I placed the order and waited. After several days I checked to see where my "warp speed" shoes were. I was told they were back ordered. Three weeks later I received my "warp speed" shoes. I have ordered many shoes from RRS over the years and been pleased but the service is continually becoming less reliable.

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Rider 17 Running Shoe: This is a shoe I wore years ago when I was still doing ironman.... It is great for speed work then and now that I am wore out I can use it for my run/walks. Also looks good for casual wear. I don't recommend shoes to people because for shoes are personal.

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Rider 17 Running Shoe: First: I am 6'5" 225lbs and I am on my 3rd generation of Wave Rider (15, 16, and now 17) and love them for their ability to carry my large frame and not break down. The heel doesn't crush like other shoes I have worn.

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Rider 17 Running Shoe: Mizuno normally makes a great shoe, the 17 wave rider is not the best and might be the worst running shoe I have own and put on. Same size as my last 6 shoes but way to loose in the toe box and heel. Not stable at all. I don't remember this shoe to any type of runner, beginner or expert.

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Rider 17 Running Shoe: After 2 -3 long runs the shoe really feels comfortable. I bought the shoe 1/2 size bigger due to insert that I use and still has plenty of room. Would buy again and will once new version comes out.

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Rider 17 Running Shoe: This is my first pair of Mizunos and I'm not sure I'll ever wear another type of running shoe. They're light, fast, and comfortable. I'm somewhat injury-prone, but these have treated me really well. If I had to ding them for anything, it's that the laces might be a little long! They seem to run a smidge too big, but not too bad.

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Rider 17 Running Shoe: Bought these as replacement for my worn out 16's as I couldn't find those anymore. Lots of changes including narrower toe-box and less arch support than old model.

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Rider 17 Running Shoe: Wear 1/2 size larger as recommended and fit is good. Lighter shoe than many but support is good for those 20 plus mile long slow distance runs. Bought second pair to switch between them and this works for me. Highly recommend this shoe

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Rider 17 Running Shoe: I use these shoes for training and distance races and they hold up very well. You can expect to get 400 or more miles out of them. I retire my Riders between 350-400 miles. As with most shoes, I remove the inserts and use after market ones.

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Rider 17 Running Shoe: Right out of the box, just picking up the shoes, I was impressed by how light they were. Looked at the toe box and thought, great, looks very roomy. Color -- mine are slate -- great. But the problem with a newly redesigned shoe always shows up somewhere, especially when the previous model was perfect for you. And there it was -- heel slip. No matter how I laced and tied, the heel slipped. I hate that. It's one of those irritating small nuisaces that blow up bigger in your head as you add speed and distance. Pick up th pace, it slips more. Over time, it's all you think about. So, a little moleskin padding added to the tongue, bought some thicker socks and they almost feel right. Almost.

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Rider 17 Running Shoe: I normally wear size 11.5 in other running shoes, in Mizuno I wear size 11, so make sure you order your correct size. This is a lightweight neutral shoe that is firmer than most in this category. It's an excellent shoe that I believe will improve with wear; it is a bit stiff out of the box. I think the shoe is an improvement over the Wave Rider 16, with a lighter, snugger fit and feel.

Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Rider 17 Running Shoe: I do not feel like I'm wearing any shoe when I'm running in it... This speaks volume...
Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about Mens Mizuno Wave Rider 17 Running Shoe: Love the shoe--the cushioning and heel to toe transition is the best. But I have to order the wide to fit as the shoe runs narrower than most. The wide only comes in white which is OK, but I'd prefer choices.
