I've run 6 marathons spanning 22 years, including two Bostons and a sub 3-hour clocking. I'm also training to qualify for Boston after "retiring" for 10 years. I've run those races in a variety of Asics, the old Mizuno Wave Maverick's, New Balance, and the Inspire 10's. I've trained with all of these, plus Nike's, Brooks Ghost, Mizuno Wave Rider (2004 & 2014), Mizuno Wave Inspire 9. I can say with supreme confidence that (1) These are the best running shoes ever, on par with the obsolete Wave Maverick's (2) The lightness & extra stiffness has helped to heal & prevent injuries, particularly calf & achillies (3) they repeatedly shave between 10 & 22 seconds per mile vs. all other shoe brands and models - which is HUGE at races from 10K to marathons (4) they are significantly better than models from other manufacturers & and the Inspire 9 & all Wave Rider shoes. I'm a heavy runner (185) and the extra stiffness, not cushioning, is what seems to transfer energy forward vs. in the ground with impact, and also prevent injuries (counterintuitive to thinking that a cushion shoe would be better for me). Shoe companies ALWAYS change great models. Dear Mizuno: Do NOT change these shoes, they are the GREATEST. ADDENDUM: Just received a postcard saying these are "endangered". Again, Mizuno, don't mess these up!!!!

This is my second pair of Mizunos after nearly 20 years in Asics Kayanos. I was training for a Boston Qualifier in 2012 in the latest Kayanos and started having some minor ankle discomfort which then morphed into shin splints from hell. I went into Road Runner Laguna Hills to get "shoe dogged" again and the sales gal showed me the Mizuno Wave Inspire 9s. I trained for and ran Boston 2013 in them without any problems. I run a lot of trails and purchased the off road equivalent, the Wave Ascend. I loved them, too.
For an upcoming marathon I pre ordered the Inspire 10s. I probably have 50 or so miles in them and so far, so good. I LOVE the lightweight feel. I expected the 9s to wear out quickly as I am a fairly high mileage, 200 pounder, but I am still mix able to mix them in occasionally.
I am a Mizuno Wave convert!

I recently bought a pair of Wave Inspire 10's to put into the rotation and replace a pair of Inspire 9's, which were "run-out". I have now done two runs with the 10's...a short run for a break-in, and today an 8 miler. I know this is very subjective, but these shoes are a BIG upgrade over the Inspire 9. I think they have used technology from the Wave Sayonara in this shoe...almost certainly in the uppers. I also run in the Sayonara (track work and longer races) and love them. If you own and like the Sayonara and need more support for your road work, try the Inspire 10. After only a couple of steps in the 10's , my feet and legs said "Aaaahh".
I still have a perfectly good pair of Inspire 9's, but I don't want to put them on again.

Feels different than WI 9's

I'm 6"4', 180 lbs, size 13 shoe (wear a 14 running shoe), mid-foot runner, average 18-30 miles a week. Trained and ran NYC marathon in the WI 9's (900 miles on two pairs) and found them to be a very durable and comfortable trainer and long distance racer. I received the 10's last week and they feel very different. Lighter, stiffer sole, slightly less cushioned forefoot, and a noticeable stability stiffness right at the back portion of the arch. I ran a 15 mile run out of the box and had no issues. Definitely a stiffer, lighter ride but not uncomfortable at all. If they prove to be as durable as the 9's this shoe straddles support and performance beautifully.

Can no longer wear Inspire's

I run 35 to 45 miles per week and run half and full marathons. The Mizuno Inspire 9's were great. The Mizuno Inspire 10's are even better except there is too much volume in the shoe allowing my foot to slide forward and cause the front side of my ankle bone to rub on a portion of the collar. Hate to say goodbye to this great shoe! I am now in search of another shoe that has equally great attributes that doesn't cause my ankle bone to rub and bruise. I just tried the Inspire 11's and it appears to have the same issue.

Lightweight, comfortable shoe

I bought the Mizuno Wave Inspire 10's after owning the 9's and loving them. The 10's were even lighter than the 9's and even more breathable. They're a great fit and provide great support.
I loved my first pair of 10's so much I just bought a second pair after putting 400+ miles on the first. After 400 miles they started showing some wear developing some small ripping on the front on either side of the toe - but that's about right for the mileage on a shoe and I was ready for a new pair anyway.

Perfect shoes in a class of thier own

Some of the best gofasters I have ever worn. Real light, easy to break in and reliable shoes on every run. Only con would be fabric durability but I sent them thru OCS terrain in Quantico where even my combat boots were chewed up so can't blame mizuno much. I'm real satisfied with the product and I've put hundreds of miles in these inspires. Would deffinetly recommend

Even better than last year's model

I run 20-30 km per week on average and found the Wave Inspire 9's to be a great shoe. The Wave Inspire 10's have taken the same great shoe and made it lighter and even more breathable. The shoe is very comfortable and lightweight and fits like a glove. The 9's were very durable, so I'm hoping the 10's will be as well.

Great everyday shoe, no break in!

Bought to put in rotation with Wave Inspire 9s. Like the lighter weight for short runs, but less cushioned for my longer days. Light enough to wear on race day. If looking for long distance shoe (over 13.1) you may consider a more robust cushioned shoe. Great otherwise. They were the perfect shoe right out of the box for 5-10 milers.

Disapointed!!

Glad that I tried these on locally before I ordered them. The forefoot cushioning seems way too stiff (hard) compared to the prior Inspire 9 model. Much lighter shoe overall and decent heel cushioning, but the midsole in forefoot would not work for me. I may consider the Mizuno Rider 17 instead of this shoe.

NIce shoe, but tongue is short

I had the 9's and liked them very much, other than the shorter tongue on this shoe it is an improvement. The tongue consistently slides down, not side to side, when I run. I have tried lacing them differently but nothing seems to work.

good all around shoe

This is a good shoe for my easy and longer runs and to wear for everyday. I had the Inspire 9's and they were a bit narrow so ordered these in a EE width and they fit fine. So far (1 month} very happy with the Inspire 10.

Overall this would be a good shoe if they went back to the old upper material, and increased the overall cushioning in the shoe. The forefoot cushioning in this shoe is non existent. Such a disappointment after the 9's were so good.
