Best running shoe I have found, I'm 64 and need the cushion. They feel great!

I have been running for a bit over 3 years and have been using Asics, and had not changed to another brand to avoid having to get used to a new fit. I tried the Prophecy 4 and have had few short runs (<10k) and have to say I will be buying at least another pair. I have never felt more comfortable while running, cushioning is great and the springy feel is amazing.

I never thought a shoe could be this comfortable! Literally like walking on clouds!

Mizuno Wave Prophecy is the only running shoe I have worn for the past 5 years - I've put thousands of miles on these shoes only to keep coming back because no other shoe provides the same fit, comfort, control or performance. And contrary to other reviews the fabric doesn't tear, stretch or rip unless you tear, stretch or rip the fabric by using the shoe to do road construction, farm work or roofing. I've worn these shoes for training, road races and Spartan races - My hope is that Mizuno doesn't tinker too much with the design and opt for fashion over performance as is the case with most show companies.

Used to run in Asics GT2000s until I found out I didn't need the correction. Have owned Wave Prophesy 2, 3 and 4. Have been running in the 4 for four months now, 30 - 40 miles a week. As good as the WP2. Fabric appears to be fragile, but I've never torn it, and these are street shoes, not cross country where branches and stuff can tear at them. These shoes have gotten me through marathons (the WP series in general). Great shoe.

Have had all versions of this shoe and it is excellent. No issues at all. I haven been running for over 30 years and this shoe fits me the best.

Being a heavier runner at 200lbs I have always struggled to fund a show that fits well and keeps my feet and shins happy. I started wearing the prophecy when the first model came out and have bought the new model every year. I know the shoes are expensive, but for one pair a year that helps me to enjoy running, makes it worth every penny. I find the new model to be amazing, solid feel without being overly heavy. Quality product that gets 50 miles of use every month.

Functionally and aesthetically the shoes are solid. They feel great and look great. The problem is that the fabric above the toe box is tearing in multiple locations after only a few months of moderate usage. This is happening on BOTH pairs I purchased. This is a major problem.

I am 6'0, 190 and average 25 miles a week. The running was 90+% indoors (mostly due to recent weather) and the shoes are only used for this purpose. I store the shoes immediately after a run. There is no reason that the fabric should be tearing this easily.

If this problem didn't occur this shoe would easily be 5 stars.

For starters from the get go Ascetics amazing appeal to them off the bat. But we all know you cant buy a shoe of looks. I have had many brands over the year, finally a design that truly moves you as the runner. Ultra light weight design. I took them for a trial run. Ran 3 miles and didn't even realize how far I had ran. Did not even try to push myself. This product is truly worth the investment. I highly recommend and for all you non believers out there. It really does work the infinity wave design propels you forward so naturally. it almost doesn't seem fair how good they work. Please I implore you to buy these shoes if you want to increase your performance BUY THESE SHOES!!!!

The big improvement here is the mesh material that encompasses the body of the shoe. It is much softer and more form-fitting than the Wave Prophecy 3. This has fixed the toe box issues. The shoe also fits better around the ankles. I also believe they have finally shortened the laces. This shoe feels like a true upgrade to the excellent Wave Prophecy 2. So, if you're big or just big by runner's standards and run a lot of miles, there is no better running shoe. It's not even close.
