Purchased this to have only one device for stats and music. I used it on a 10k last Sat and it preformed well. I wore it on a strap on my arm so the face wasn't easily seen. Wearing on my wrist would be better but I wonder about the ear bud cord being annoying with arm movement during running. I used this with a Garmin and both agreed on total time. I don't run for long periods (more than 2 hours) so the controversy of it not giving the full 5 hours before recharging is not an issue. But if you are looking for use on a marathon I doubt this would stay charged that long. The size is slightly larger than an IPod Nano 6 and about twice as thick. I also paired this with an ANT heart rate strap and it works very well. One FYI if you get the periodic software updates you'll have to do a factory reset to get it paired with the ANT strap again. A pain especially as this erases all saved workouts. But I upload all to the Moto web site and you have an option on downloading workouts back to the device. Not perfect but works for me.

I purchased this item at full retail ([$]) in January. I told myself that this would be the biggest purchase of the year. (btw. [@] sells this for [$], if you still want to buy one)The first 8 months were fantastic. It revolutionized the way I was training and looking at stats. BT headphones are awesome. Hate going back to wired. Everything was easy to link. Loved the audio feedback. I never had to look down at the unit. I set it up that every mile a voice would tell me what lap I was starting, what my average pace for the lap was starting, my heart rate, and what the average overall pace was. Pretty cool.Because I'm not a rich man, and this is a pricy piece of equipment, I never took it out in the rain. Not once. I know all of the distances for my various routes. I can live without it for a run here and there.Fast forward to August ...The workout button stopped working out of nowhere. I couldn't start a run without that. I contacted motorola and they had me send it in for repairs. A week and a half later, I get an e-mail saying the unit suffered severe liquid damage, and my warranty is void because of that.Basically, my jaw hit the floor along with loud internal profanities!They sent it back to me broken.Check out the motoactv user forums, and see that many people are posting up the same issue and voided warranties.This particular product has had issues from the get go. On first release, motorola advertised bt headphones that could be a HR monitor as well. They don't exist. Along with that, before the first rounds of updates were released, the battery only lasted about an hour, maybe an hour and a half. Not to mention all of the problems that happened to the web site and app. Terrible execution on the release. Looking back, I realize that this was a terrible investment.Cool product while it worked. Never buying from motorola again! Now I own a very pricy paperweight ...

You have to sit down and play with it for a while to figure it out, once you do, it's amazing. At first I was frusted with it, but after about a week of trial and error, I figured it out and loving it. Main reason for purchase was I wanted small/light weight all in one: GPS, metrics recording, music player, plus I can workout with wireless headphones (that is worth the price alone). You can setup training routines such as interval training (on Moto's site), it will auto record lap time base on a distance of you own choosing.

I received this as a gift for Christmas and absolutely love it. The product is stylish, easy to use a durable. I was able to put my music on it within 20 min I have about (1500 songs). I ran with it yesterday and it had very accurate readings (within 1/100 of a mile). Even though this product is $130 more than an Ipod nano, its worth it for someone looking to use it as a running watch because the product has GPS and its waterproof. The only con is the battery life which is still not that bad compared to the Nike+ GPS watch. The coolest part of the product is the fact that you can view a map of your run on the device. Overall. this is a great product.

Love the wireless headset with my MotoACTV!! Sounds quality is amazing.

GPS accuracy is seems to be good. Pace varies a little too much, but I have noticed that in my Garmin as well. Love the wireless automatic upload. I now keep it on all the time as my watch, and it uploads the step count and calories burnt each day as well.

I run between 4 and 5.5m runs, and it is able to track step rate, heart rate, elevation, pace and distance and display all of it on the website. I have used and loved my Garmin, but this there is nothing like this device.
