I wear asics and take an eleven. An eleven in this shoe is too tight even with no socks. Maybe a half size up would be a good idea!

Holds my foot in place as I run rocks and roots on some rough trail. While it is a bit more flexible and ankle is at greater risk than some of the more stable shoes I have run in, this one is tops in my book. I have well over 250 miles and the shoe is wearing very well.

Got a pair, ran about 90 miles on 'em, and the heel started separating. 80 of those miles were trail running. Not impressed. Roadrunner, of course, were darlings and agreed to replace with another pair. We'll see how the second one around works. Liked 'em fine until they started coming apart.

Merrell is now the only brand I will ever buy. This shoe is great. The first time I put them on it was like I was getting a foot massage.

The shoes fit well and fit true to size. Although forefoot cushioning is ok, no plate is provided for protection against rocks, etc. Just purchased a pair of Montrail Hardrock that provide much better protection. Merrell lacing system is good idea that road running shoes need to incorporate.

They feel great on rugged single track. Worked super on both up and downhill. I also used them once on the treadmill and they still felt great. Nice fit and easy adjusting lacing system. Just a fine trail runner and then some.

I’m a physical therapist in the business of making recommendation of shoes on a daily basis. I’ve had problems with other adventure racing / trail shoes and was skeptical that these shoes could provide the support I need. I weigh around 190 lbs and have a normal arch and fairly neutral mechanics (...
