I got these boots last year because I wanted some comfortable boots to wear with winter dresses and these were on sale. I also was drawn in by the fact that they are waterproof-- in NC we see a little snow but a lot of cold rain in the winters. From day 1 I received tons of compliments on them! They're very stylish and different than the typical boots people have, and with the waterproofing and the seriously hardy materials I never worry about tearing them up in the elements. They're incredibly comfortable-- I can teach 5 classes straight and otherwise go about my busy day and be totally oblivious to my feet. I've also worn these hiking in the mountains, walking the dogs, and the like. One of the best things for me is that these boots aren't tight on my calves-- most boots are. I run and go to the gym, and when I'm training at all seriously my calves get super muscular and most boots are tight. Not these. Some days I wish they had a bit more of a heel, but that would defeat their versatility.
