I just ordered my 5th pr. Sending back the 858's I got, they gave me horrid blisters in 10 mi & trail marathon races (never a blister ever before). 857s wider in toe box, I am a 112 lb mild over pronator w/low arch & I LOVE my 857s, please keep these NB!!!

Always have been a great shoe. These were my answer to the gt 2k series. Tried the gts 7's and prefer these more. will get a second pair.

I'm an average runner; not a marathoner by far. I have wide fee (I'm 130lbs, 5'5"--avg. build)--well, my foot is shaped like a triange--very wide in the forefront and slender in the heel. I have to wear orthotics for my VERY high arches and the NB857 fit with my orthotics wonderfully! I have never h...

When I first tried these on, I thought, "uggh, weird. No way" but I thought about how it directed my foot and decided to try them anyway. Glad I did because after breaking them in, I think it is becoming my favorite shoe.
I'm a mid-weight, medium overpronator with a tendency towards shin-spli...

great shoe. 180 lbs, mild overproanator, wide foot, medium arch. Felt very comfortable right out of the box, love the wide toe box. The arch support is made for people who don't have any real arch issues. I have to buy a couple of pairs before they "improve" them

Wow!!!. I have hammer toes because I followed along with what most stores told me, that I am a 15D. I went to a specialty store and they designed custom orthotics for me and told me that I am a 15 4E. I have tried New Balance once before, the 856 and they were harder than concrete. So I had been...

I bought this shoe about 3 weeks ago. I have a pair of brooks adrenaline that I was looking to switch out. The NB 857 do not near matchup with the Brooks. I will sideline these shoes to walk in, but I will be getting another pair of brooks. the front of the shoe has alot of space and your feet slide...

I have a very wide forefoot with bunyons and I moderately overpronate. The 856 had been the only shoe I had found which fit. I like the 857 better--no shin splints. The support is built in more than the 856. I had to lace the 856 tightly to get the support; otherwise got shin splints. The 857 w...

I've been a NB loyalist for years but was unfortunately persuaded by a shoe salesman to switch to the Brooks Adrenaline. What a mistake! I'm a mild overpronater with medium arches and love the support and spring the 857 provides, without the weight. Like running on a cloud! Like a previous review, I...

Just right for me--a moderate overpronator. This shoe may not feel initially like the most comfortable in the world (c.f., Nike Air Pegasus), but comparing the marathon I ran in the Nikes to the marathon I ran in NB 857, NB is far and beyond the best for me. With the Nikes I had shin splint pain sta...

Excellent fit; they have some give with lots of toe room. Good support with just enough cushioning to give some spring. Love the new shoelaces: they grip without having to double tie.
