Comments about Mens New Balance 825 Running Shoe:

6'2" 193lbs 30-35 miles a week. This is my second pair and for 13 or less miles I have to say this is the best shoe I have owned. My last 2 long runs, 15 & 17, stressed them I feel past their cushioning limits, but at 193 lbs what can you expect from a LW trainer? The last pair wore out at 350 =/-.

Comments about Mens New Balance 825 Running Shoe:

I own an 80's-era pair of still useable NB 825s so I was quite interested in trying this shoe. The mid-foot and rear-foot fit is good. But the forefoot fit is sloppy and this causes the front of the shoe to pronate. The ride is also a bit too soft for a trainer; in fact, the fit and feel bring to mind a tennis rather than running shoe. I would not buy this model again.

Comments about Mens New Balance 825 Running Shoe:

I run 2-3 miles daily on treadmill. I've tried at least 4 pairs of shoes in the past 3 years. When I first tried the 825 on, I couldn't believe I could feel as comfortable as I did. It's amazing, light, very well cushioning. I'm a believer!!!

Comments about Mens New Balance 825 Running Shoe:

Used the 833 for many years but it is now gone?! The 825 looks better and last longer, going up to 500+ where the 833 only lasted a good 350 or so. Weight is good for this one but the toe box is a little big. I have gone through 3 pair now and will continue with them until something light cushioning new comes along. They are also a nice looking walking/work shoe after you put in the miles.

Formerly wore 1023 and 1024. This is lighter and less "mushy." I ran a 3 miler in them and avg 7:45, where I usually run 8:15. I run up to 7 miles in these and save 1024's for longer runs. Plan to buy more of these. Don't change 'em!

Comments about Mens New Balance 825 Running Shoe:

My ffirst pair has 400 miles with very little wear. This is a marked improvement over 827-833 series which wore out by 300 miles. Ran a 1/2 and full marathon recently at PR pace. Best performance shoe available today, replacing the Mizuno Precesion as the market leader.

Comments about Mens New Balance 825 Running Shoe:

In retro spirit NB has re-started numbering the series at 825. I owned three pairs of shoes in the series - the new 825 is my fourth. It is my favorite since the original 825 that I bought ten years ago. They're light, flexible, fast and very roomy in the toe-box. Large socks, recommended below, might work well. I've found they work well for training up to 6-8 miles and for races from 5 miles to a half marathon. My shoes came in White with a red NB logo, which I find rather good looking.

Comments about Mens New Balance 825 Running Shoe:

The original 825 came out almost 10 years ago. New Balance ran this series up to 832 in the US after 7 years and stopped offering the shoe here. It continued for another two years - the 834 - in the UK. New Balance has just started re-offering this shoe is the US and - in retro spirit - has re-started numbering the series at 825. Comments about Mens New Balance 825 Running Shoe:

This shoe does not fit as well as the 827-833 series. The toe box is slightly too wide. The cushioning and flexibility of the 827-833 series was also superior to this shoe. I am currently looking for an 833 replacement.

Comments about Mens New Balance 825 Running Shoe:

I have previously used the 827,829,831 and 833 in this series of shoe. I brisk walk(circa 4.5 mph)because I cannot run(previous back injury). This shoe felt comfortable right out of the box and after the 1st 2 miles of a daily 4+ mile walk. While it took some time to break in the other shoes I used in the series, the 825 had a good feel to it right away. The last is not as curved as those used in previous models and I find this flatter profile better for me. The shoe fits well, is lightweight and has ample cushioning for my small frame (I weigh 130 lbs.)I am pleased using this shoe for my daily brisk walking.

Comments about Mens New Balance 825 Running Shoe:

I really like the 831, an ancestor of the 825. This shoe feels a little sloppy in the toe box; however, the cushioning is great. If I can find the right sock to wear in it, I think I will be happy. The shoe is very light, but not quite as flexible as the Mizuno Precision.
