Comments about Womens New Balance 882 Running Shoe:

WOW - these are the most amazing running shoes. If you've got wide feet and/or bunions, these are the shoes for you! My toes don't get pinched or go numb during a run. I usually order my shoes a full size bigger to compensate for my wide feet, but I didn't need the extra length with the 882s. My ankles didn't hurt and my feet felt great after a 3.5 run outdoors. Even my constant hip problem isn't bothering me as much. I love these shoes and wish I could get more, but I can't find my size anymore.

Comments about Womens New Balance 882 Running Shoe:

These shoes are about the best I have found for running with bunions and Morton's neuroma. The wide foot box doesn't squeeze my foot, and there is enough cushion to absorb shock. The 881s provided a little more stability, but I haven't had any injuries training for a half with the 882s. One downside ... the cushion doesn't feel as good past 300 miles (and I am a light runner who seldom runs more than 25 miles/week). Less white would be a plus too.

Comments about Womens New Balance 882 Running Shoe:

As someone who was torn between a stability shoe and a neutral shoe, I've been incredibly pleased with the 882. I was a Mizuno loyalist before, but these shoes are so comfortable that I will never go back. Not in love with the color scheme here (so much white--- mine are a mess all the time) but the shoes have held up well and I have never had an injury in them. (Whereas with my Mizunos, I had ITBS, runner's knee, hip flexor issues, and Achilles tendonitis)

Comments about Womens New Balance 882 Running Shoe:

I have worn this series since it was 878! Loved the shoe until now. Dont know what New Balance changed - or why????, but I cant wear the 882. After years of running injury free, I had my first injury problems once I laced up in the 882's. I've switched to Saucony Pro Grid. Dont like them as well as the old NB 878 - 881's, but they're better than the 882. Please NB, remake the 881's!

Comments about Womens New Balance 882 Running Shoe:

I have a narrow foot and very high arches and insteps. I love the SL-2 last because it does not cut in on my toes which are pretty much squared off. When I first tried them with the stock insoles, I could feel every pebble and ridge on my run. I replaced them with a really cushioned New Balance insole ($30+/-) and I now love this shoe. Without the premium insoles I would rate this shoe a 2-star but with the insoles I rate them a 5-star.

Comments about Womens New Balance 882 Running Shoe:

Loved these shoes! I have worn this series in the past and still love them and find them very cushy. I have a wide foot and wear orthotics and this shoe satisfies both those needs having a D-width with an NB:SL-2 wide fit and the orthotic fit perfectly in. I will continue to buy these until NB messes them up like they do with their shoes every few years.

Not nearly as cushioned as the 881. Have worn the entire 'series' and felt the road with every step in the 882 Dissappointed. Have to find something new since the 881 cannot be found.

Not nearly as cushioned as the 881. Have worn the entire 'series' and loved them till now. I felt the road with every step in the 882 Dissappointed. Have to find something new since the 881 cannot be found. First foot injury I ever had in these--little high arch support; broke 2 metatarsals. Beware of the 882

Comments about Womens New Balance 882 Running Shoe:

My last four shoes have been NB and I am currently wearing the 882(replaced my pair of 1122 and 881) and this series is great for my high arches, wide feet and narrow heel (and light weight >100lbs). It is NOT good for my supination. I have 166 miles on these currently and just bought them in January. The outside of the midsole is already breaking down and I don't think I will get the requisite 300 miles out of them.

Comments about Womens New Balance 882 Running Shoe:

I bought these based on my "high arch" profile. There is very little arch support in these shoes which I beleieve led to my foot injury. I guess they are fine otherwise, but wouldn't recommend these for anyone with high arches.

Comments about Womens New Balance 882 Running Shoe:

If you've liked the 880 and 881 models, be warned that the D width 882 isn't nearly as wide as those were, either in the toe or across the widest part of the foot. I'd been very happy with the two earlier models, but I can't wear the 882 at all.
