I usually wear an 11 4E, but after trying the 858s on I dropped down to a 2E. Unfortunately the toe box is so tall that my foot has too much room and I now have an angry blister. (I also tried on a D width by they were too narrow.) Otherwise not a bad shoe. I miss the 851s, though...

Not much on cushioning and the insert caused a blister on my heel on the first run. I replaced it with the insert from my trusty 857s and it was fine. Now they are endangered. I want the 991's back. NB, are you hearing me? Give us the 991s back!

Excellent in every aspect except sole durability. The sole material on the outer edge of the fore-foot wears down very quickly. Fit, especially the tall and wide toe box, cushioning and support are great. The shoes feel light enough and long runs are totally pain free. Shoe-Goo goes on easily and doesn't cost much so I consider these a really good value.

Excellent Shoe! I have pronation issues that impact my running form and efficiency. This shoe offers great stability, offerring very good supportive cushing, yet not too heavy. I tried motion control & stable Asics, Brooks (too heavy), Sucony over the last 2 to 3 years, and this has been the only shoe that has allowed me to train in the way I used too before shoe models didn't change so rapidly. If you have stability/mothion control problem, this is worth a try.

I bought these shoes a couple of weeks ago after trying on many Asics and Nike. These shoes by far fit the best and had the best cushioning of all the others. The toe box is nice and roomy and the heel is snug. After a couple of weeks of running all knee and heel pain I had before is gone. These shoes are great...hope they last!

I bought this shoe today for my half-marathon run in 6 weeks. I went to the store wanting Asics first, Brooks Beast second. I tried running with all 3 twice, and was surprised to find out that the NB858 gave me the least impact to my knees. I'm dissappointed about the Asics GT2110 because I really wanted to buy that but I ended up with something Made in the USA. Hopefully, the quality of this shoe wont fade after 6 months or else I'm hunting for the correct Asics shoe for my runs.

Well I went ahead and bought this shoe, had been in the Beast. I'm 6'4" 235lbs and a 15 4E. This shoe fit perfect up to the arch, but the forefoot/toes was just too wide. To go down a width would not fit my heel and midfoot though.

Also good for a big runner who doesn't worry about pronation. Sturdy, stable shoe with better than average cushioning. The toe box is roomy in both width and height. If you're looking for lots of support without much motion control, try these out. They go down the road very nicely.

These shoes are great! The cushoning is good. there is plenty of support, and they are made in the USA, which is good because it helps our economy.

Good overall support (I'm 190lbs)and cushioning, takes a couple of runs to really break in, though a bit heavy they very comfortable.

Great combination of stability and cushioning for the pronator who is not a heavyweight. Acomodates orthotics well. Slightly heavy for a stability shoe. Consider this a borderline motion control shoe.

Great shoe not as good a feel as the 857 but better than others I have tried, good stability as I overpronate and these seem to do the job

What happened to the "high stability trainer" rating. The 857 was almost a motion control shoe, and this barely makes it as a stability shoe. Very dissapointed.
