The predecessor to this shoe (825)was likely the best shoe New Balance has ever made. This shoe is junk. My old 825s with 400 miles on them have more cushion than the 826 out of the box.

First, let me say that I'm a New Balance fan; tried many others but always came back. Presently training in NB 1223's at 15-20 miles/wk but wanted a lighter shoe for tempo runs and 5-10 K's. For my build (5'-10" & 175-180) this great looking & well made shoe just didn't work out. Found the "D" width...

I have been running in this series (826 and prior) since 2005 or so. It is a great light weight trainer and I love the fit and the ride. That said . . . the shoes break down at 250 miles. I just tried to push a pair to 300 and my body paid the price. I am generally able to get pretty good deals ...

I bought this shoe for the reviews. It was fine for about 5 5k runs, and they feel really good when you first put them on. However, the cushioning is really poor quality. After a while the shoe with have deep imprints of your foot in it. I could live with the lack of cushioning, but I cant live ...

Geez, I was so looking forward to this shoe. Maybe i have a bad pair. Flexibility, heal - transition, all good but it felt like i was running on cement after 2 miles, to a point that i had to start walking. I went home and put on an old pair of precision7's and my feet were fine. I'm going to k...

9.5 miles out of the box. Super comfortable shoe. How they (NB) can make a shoe this light but with such a soft cushioned ride. Best shoe I've ever worn. Don't seem like they will last that long though. I guess I'll find that out sooner or later.

I've been running for 25 years and have put in nearly 40000 miles. This has been the most comfortable shoe I have ever put on my feet. I had planned, when I bought them, to use them only for up tempo runs but have been racing in them and using them for all of my 3 and 4 mile runs. I doubt that they ...

I loved my 825s and was dissapointed when they were discontinued. The 826 is still a great shoe, but they wear out EXTREMELY fast. I am on my 3rd pair, and have only been getting about 250 miles out of a pair before they are completely flat. I love these shoes, but I think I have to change becaus...

OMG!!! This shoe is absolutely fantastic! I got them today, strapped them on and ran 5 miles. Felt like I was flying. Great cushion, nice transtion from heal to toe. Feels very stable up and down hills and with lateral movement. The meshing breaths really well, keeping your feet cool too. Ove...

I can only say 'PHENOMINAL'. Best shoe I ever purchased. I actually got lucky and got the official Chicago Marathon yellow 826's for a bargain at half the price so i bought 4 pairs. They are so light that you can't tell they are there but the cushioning is the best I have ever had in a shoe at an...

After the 833 was discontinued I had a snafu with the NB902. I wear a B Width "narrow".These are so light and cushioned, they feel invisible. I hope they never go away.

I've been a big fan of this series of shoes dating back to the 831. These are a nice improvement over the 825's, of which I went through two pairs. Better cushioning, lighter weight and a little better fit in my opinion.

Very light and cushioned. I have the 2E and it has a nice toe box. The heel is a good snug (not too tight) fit. The only small issue I have is the instep portion on the shoe seems tight. I altered my lacing pattern and it's helped. The fit is very good but not perfect.
