Comments about Mens New Balance 826 Running Shoe:

I've been running for 25 years and have put in nearly 40000 miles. This has been the most comfortable shoe I have ever put on my feet. I had planned, when I bought them, to use them only for up tempo runs but have been racing in them and using them for all of my 3 and 4 mile runs. I doubt that they will be too durable but I will give up durability for comfort any day.

Comments about Mens New Balance 826 Running Shoe:

First, let me say that I'm a New Balance fan; tried many others but always came back. Presently training in NB 1223's at 15-20 miles/wk but wanted a lighter shoe for tempo runs and 5-10 K's. For my build (5'-10" & 175-180) this great looking & well made shoe just didn't work out. Found the "D" widths to all run narrow even though the description states "Wide" toe box. The length was perfect at 1/2 size up. The cushioning felt decent on my first 5 miler (on asphalt) but after about 3 miles, I developed pain in my right heel & shin, along with annoying rubbing on the outside of my left toe due to the narrow fit. On the positive side, this shoe is really light, feels like running in socks, and appears to be very well constructed. Breathes really good. This shoe should be absolutely perfect for a lighter built runner with slightly narrow feet. Loved the shoe & would've given it 5 stars except for the width issue. May be one of New Balance's best.

Comments about Mens New Balance 826 Running Shoe:

I've been running in this shoe for a few months now and I'm still not totally impressed. They were a replacement for the 833's that I had been using prior. I have to say that these shoes are not nearly as comfortable as the slipper like 883's. However, they are decent, havent had any foot/knee/back problems and they feel light on the run, but for some resaon they just never seem to fit right.

Comments about Mens New Balance 826 Running Shoe:

Had the 825 they were good and these are just ok. My feet move around in them too much. I have to tighten my laces so much just to keep from having my feet slide around. I like a good fitting shoe I do not have to tie tight. Please bring back the 825 for the love of runner.

Awesome shoe. I run 2500+ miles/year in a variety of shoes (cumulus, speedstar, vomero, & wave rider) - this is my go to shoe for marathon's and quality work. Light & flexible, but well cushioned. Best shoe of the five I listed.

Comments about Mens New Balance 826 Running Shoe:

The predecessor to this shoe (825)was likely the best shoe New Balance has ever made. This shoe is junk. My old 825s with 400 miles on them have more cushion than the 826 out of the box.

Comments about Mens New Balance 826 Running Shoe:

I have been running in this series (826 and prior) since 2005 or so. It is a great light weight trainer and I love the fit and the ride. That said . . . the shoes break down at 250 miles. I just tried to push a pair to 300 and my body paid the price. I am generally able to get pretty good deals from RRS on these, probably because I buy so many.

Comments about Mens New Balance 826 Running Shoe:

Geez, I was so looking forward to this shoe. Maybe i have a bad pair. Flexibility, heal - transition, all good but it felt like i was running on cement after 2 miles, to a point that i had to start walking. I went home and put on an old pair of precision7's and my feet were fine. I'm going to keep them for track work outs or 5k racing but everyday trainer is out of the question.

9.5 miles out of the box. Super comfortable shoe. How they (NB) can make a shoe this light but with such a soft cushioned ride. Best shoe I've ever worn. Don't seem like they will last that long though. I guess I'll find that out sooner or later.

Comments about Mens New Balance 826 Running Shoe:

I bought this shoe for the reviews. It was fine for about 5 5k runs, and they feel really good when you first put them on. However, the cushioning is really poor quality. After a while the shoe with have deep imprints of your foot in it. I could live with the lack of cushioning, but I cant live with the joint pain in my feet when I run against my 'imprints'. I weigh 180lbs or 80kg, so maybe a bit heavier than those giving it good reviews.

I loved my 825s and was dissapointed when they were discontinued. The 826 is still a great shoe, but they wear out EXTREMELY fast. I am on my 3rd pair, and have only been getting about 250 miles out of a pair before they are completely flat. I love these shoes, but I think I have to change because I can't afford to keep buying new pairs.

Comments about Mens New Balance 826 Running Shoe:

I can only say 'PHENOMINAL'. Best shoe I ever purchased. I actually got lucky and got the official Chicago Marathon yellow 826's for a bargain at half the price so i bought 4 pairs. They are so light that you can't tell they are there but the cushioning is the best I have ever had in a shoe at any price. I love the Chicago Marathon style for these better than the plain blue but how can you care about the look when they feel so good. I thought when I was researching this shoe that all these good comments might be from NB employees but every comment in here is spot on. YOU CAN'T GO WRONG WITH THESE SHOES>>>

Very light and cushioned. I have the 2E and it has a nice toe box. The heel is a good snug (not too tight) fit. The only small issue I have is the instep portion on the shoe seems tight. I altered my lacing pattern and it's helped. The fit is very good but not perfect.

OMG!!! This shoe is absolutely fantastic! I got them today, strapped them on and ran 5 miles. Felt like I was flying. Great cushion, nice transtion from heal to toe. Feels very stable up and down hills and with lateral movement. The meshing breaths really well, keeping your feet cool too. Overall a fantastic shoe! Not like the crappy Brooks I've been using for the last nine months and ended up causing a leg injury. Never leaving NB again!!! ;-)
