Comments about Mens New Balance 908 Trail Running Shoe:

I ran these for a season doing 3-4 miles a day on fairly rugged Vermont trails. I enjoyed the comfort and fit (been a NB wearer for a long time...) Unfortunately, the uppers tore in several places before the season was out.

Comments about Mens New Balance 908 Trail Running Shoe:

I have always stuck with New Balance trail shoes for my running needs. This is the first shoe I have been disappointed by. They wore out QUICK and tore in several places. Granted I run some rocky trails, but the other NB I had held up for a lot longer. Bad choice, glad they're endangered!

Comments about Mens New Balance 908 Trail Running Shoe:

I've run in NB AT shoes for several years. The 908 is by far the weakeat of the lot. Several pair have separated between the sole and fabric around the toe area.
Today I purchased the 909 and found it to be much more comfortable. Time will tell.
I've noticed a steady decline in NB quality since they began outsourcing production to China....

Comments about Mens New Balance 908 Trail Running Shoe:

I?ve been loving this shoe on hard pack single track. Pros: It feels light, responsive, and fast. Dries quickly. Provides adequate rock protection considering the weight. Cons: The heel base is on the narrow side and the lack of torsional resistance could spell trouble on challenging terrain (it twists real easily ? possibly why I rolled during a 50K last weekend). Possibly a 5 star shoe for those with a lightweight build.

Comments about Mens New Balance 908 Trail Running Shoe:

Great shoe provided your not hitting gravel roads or trails with a lot of stones. As my feet feel every rock I hit. It feels fine otherwise, but I need more protection from rocks, as I use these exclusively on trails or gravel roads. My normal Asic road shoes provide me with the same or better protection from rocks. I've been in the various 900 models for years and will be looking elsewhere for a better true trail shoe.

Comments about Mens New Balance 908 Trail Running Shoe:

I loved the 810. After it was discontinued, I was told the 908 was the replacement. I was only able to run in them several times. Very weak. Made my PF flare up. Like another reviewer said, you feel every stone if you try them on gravel. Nothing like the 810. I wish they'd bring the 810 back.

Outstanding shoe. I can't add too much that hasn't already been said by others. I can say that I've just ordered my 2nd pair. They feel so good that I decided to try them on pavement. They work great! So now I only need one kind of shoe.

Comments about Mens New Balance 908 Trail Running Shoe:

I stand 6'2" top scale at 225 depending on beverage intake. NB is the only trail shoe for me. Wide toe, great stability, breathability. I do 8-20 miles one a week in these shoes. And many trail races in So. Cal.

Comments about Mens New Balance 908 Trail Running Shoe:

These shoes are extremely light and felt good, initially, on my feet. At 6'1", 215 lbs I like cusioned stable shoes. To me they had neither. I even tried inserts but they threw the fit of the shoe off. I'm back to my old Brooks Cascadia 2's for now.

Wow, just wow. Soft, perfect fit, lightweight, the perfect shoe. If only they also made these with a non-trail sole they would be perfect. My everyday shoe and my trail shoe.
