This shoe fits well, and is reasonably light. I would not recommend it as a trail shoe though, as it has virtually no tread. The bottom of the shoe is completely flat, with a couple of very narrow, very shallow grooves (think rain grooves on auto tires, but just a couple of mm deep). This shoe would not be safe for anything but the most tame, flat, dry trails. The lacing system is also fairly ineffective. It loosens under the stress of a simple run on road, and one of the two actually came apart. New Balance can and has done better!
