Great lateral stability with the N-Lock. Drable, breathable, comfortable.

Bought these for my mom for her New Year's Resolution. She's dropped 7 pounds so far & it's still January! It's gotta be the shoes, right?

years and years and have been moving through the 1000 series as they have been discontinued and replaced with higher-numbered models. I wasn't sure I liked the 1010's at first because they didn't seem to cushion as well and I felt it in my knees. After using them for 4+ months, they are fine (5 classes a week on cement floors). My only thing is that I'm normally an 8-1/2 M and I wound up with the 2A in these and am still having to tighten them. That might be because of my pathological need for very snug shoes when working out, but I feel they run wide compared to styles in the past (could also be the abundance of mesh vs. materials with less give).

The technology seems to have changed from the 1010 to the 1011. The 1010's were the most comfortable shoe I had ever worn. The 1011's KILLED my feet...especially the outside edge of my foot. I literally had to take them off. A waste of my $$$.

What can I say but I was so disappointed. I was looking for a good cross trainer and have always loved New Balance. This shoe was the worst. It felt fine walking, but when it came to kickboxing and the eliptical machine, my feet actually hurt. Would not recommend this shoe for cross training.
