New Balance shoes have always been the shoe for my foot. This shoe in particular solved the problem I was having with some pressure points. They run wide -which is good for me since I'm between a medium width and a wide width. They are listed as stabiilty shoes but also know they have great cushioning as well - great to run in!!!

This shoe has some of the best but also some of the worst features I've ever seen in a running shoe. On the one hand, the the heel-toe tranition is the smoothest of any running shoe I've ever tried; the stability and cushioning are very good; and it's very lightweight, especially for the level of support. On the other hand, so many other features are so poorly thought out. The tongue is way too short--by 1/4 mile into a run, it's slid all the way down to the bottom eyelets, a real annoyance. The last also makes no sense. The shoe's extremely shallow in the toebox, which makes no sense given its wide base. The overly shallow toebox is further compounded by overly restrictive and irritating overlays. Finally, the collar and tongue could use more memory foam padding, for both comfort and to ensure a snug fit around the heel. This shoe has so many good things going for it; it's a shame it also has so many poorly thought-out features.

This is my favorite New Balance shoe since the old 851's. I wear New Balance exclusively and have for years because of their great stability in particular. These held up great during training for a 10 miler and the race itself.

This shoe is a real disappointment. The arch support is inadequate and the N-lock lacing system is painful. Because the N-lock lacings have no give or elasticity, they painfully dig into your foot. This is especially true for anyone with bunions or any other sensitive foot issues. Don't be misled by the shoe's wide platform--this shoe isn't a good shoe for anyone with bunions, it's much too constricting. The heel also is on the wide side, which causes heel slippage. That's especially a problem if you have to leave the N-lacings loose to avoid their painfully digging into you. I'm sorry that New Balance didn't do a better job designing this shoe, and that I wasted my money on it.
