I have been looking for a good performance trainer since Nike quit making the Skylon. The 905 is an even better shoe, and this is from someone who ran 16 marathons in the Skylon. It is a great shoe for Chi Running style as the heel is low and it is very esy to get into that nice column lean.

I did have to size down a half size. My complaints are that it is NOT at all as durable as the Skylon and when I sized down the inside portion of the tongue rubs blisters on that little bone, but on the right side only. Love the shoe and would give it a 5 star if it were a little more durable!

I absolutely love these shoes. I have had every foot issue known to mankind and have to wear custom orthotics and run low mileage (25-35). These shoes are great running on trails, mountains, doing fartleks and even track workouts. I have even raced a 5k in them. I have picky feet but my feet love these shoes. Only down side is the fact they run out of miles around 250.

I am a high mileage runner and love these shoes. They are very comfortable and light. I do not care for the lacing. They either stop too low or go up too high.

I would highly recommend. I need a high stability shoe and this one is great, didn't have to replace with my own insoles, the ones that came with this shoe work perfect. Going to ask for another pair for Christmas. It's tough to find a shoe for a wide foot and one foot larger than the other, but I have no problem with it slipping on my smaller foot and my feet are still comfortable after a 13 mile run!

New Balance finally made a shoe to replace the 902. 903 was tolerable, 904 was just awful and the 905's are a dream shoe. I like a very light shoe because of having to add orthotics. The 905 is just a great comfortable, lightweight running shoe. The only downside, they wear out very quickly. I run 30+ miles a week and have to replace them every 2 months because the sole wears out.

Nice shoe, but my toes felt cramped in the toe box. Light and smooth, but I would order a half size larger.

I run 50+ miles a week. I am 5'7" and weigh 140 lbs. I was madly in love with the 902s and was so sad to see them go. I hated the 903 and tolerated the 904s. The 905 is the best since the 902. Lightweight, good fit, not sure I am crazy about the tounge being fixed to the shoe, but it has worked out ok. I don't feel the stability and cushioning are as great as they have been. I have comfortably been able to run in these shoes for 5 hours. Bottom line, I would buy them again.

I run outside only. I live in the south so am able to run outside year round. This shoe handled pavement, sidewalks and the track with no problem. My first run in them was 10 miles with no bilsters, rubbing, etc. Great shoe. My first pair of New Balance but not my last.

The shoe itself is comfortable to run in but I don't know what New Balance was thinking by locking down the liner. It is extremely uncomfortable. The tongue of the shoe comes up too high on my foot and cut the top of it. There's nothing you can do about it either because it is literally locked down and stithced into the side of the shoe. Very disappointing!!!

Great update! Fits like a glove. Similar to the 903 but with a much more snug fit. The only negative is the lockdown liner. It's a little uncomfortable.
