After years of working out and training in an cross trainer I decided it was time to get back into running a little. Now I'm a big guy and I have low arches, however I do not pronate that much. Everybody, but the NB folks told me to go with the Beast or the NB 1011 or the Asics 2140/50. Good god?! Those things were like cement! This shoe feels like it's a part of my foot. For the first time in years I can run without pain in my shins and hips. I tried this along with the NB 850 and for me this shoe just fit my foot the right way. The 850 seems to feel like it was pushing the inside of my heel just a bit too much for my foot. Both shoes are very comfortable. I would probably say that the 760 could use just a tiny bit more cushioning, but if I could I would give it 4 1/2 stars just because of that small thing. With the return policy and the great pricing on RRS you cannot go wrong ordering these and take them out for a test run . I think you'll be very pleased.

I've been using the 2140's and was given a pair of the 760's to test, I was very surprised! It's a great feeling shoe! Very stable, good cushioning, it has a very comfortable fit. Feels a tad heavier the the 2140's but not enough to make a difference.

they are light and comfortable and breathe well. They have a wide/roomy toe box and good cushion. I like the heel support and stability. Overall, I'm impressed and they rate as good as the air structure triax.

Alot of shoe for the money - substantial midsole, no real complaints.
I have a C width -- NB tends to run wide and this follows suit. For me it accommodates an orthotic and lift well.

Pleasantly surprised. I had been running in Asics 2140s which i loved but was looking elsewhere for a new shoe due to poor reviews of 2150. Was hesitant to pick these up due to poor experiences was NB Basketball shoes back in the 80's but really like this shoe. Lots of support and very light. Tremendous buy for the money.

I jumped the gun with my earlier review, sorry! The 760 fits well but it is wearing out quickly and losing support just like the 769 did. These shoes just aren't built as well as the 768 and previous models of 760 series were. As a wearer of the New Balance 760 series for 7 years I am disappointed to have to give up on this series and maybe New Balance.

have used several models in the 760 series and these have very poor heel wear. They are worn through at less than 200 miles.

Otherwise a very good shoe.

I have been a faithful consumer of the 760 line since the 763 several years ago. I still have a pair of 767 that are holding up at over 600 miles! However, I was very disappointed with the 769. They lost support by 250 miles whereas I usually got 450+ miles of each pair. The 769 just felt cheap. New Balance is back on track with the 760, which seems to be similar to the 767 and 768.

I'm a long time NB customer and these are the third pair of NB760's I have owed. Each one of them have given me the same great ride. It's a shame they're being discontinued. I hope the new model wears just as well.

While I liked the forefoot out-sole on the previous version of this shoe, the stability is great; the cushioning is wonderful for someone who battles metatarsalgia, and the extra width of the 2e is a great bonus. Solid performance all-around, whether running on trails, the road or a mix of the two.

Run an average of 120 miles a month in these...whenever I try another shoe, it results in pains I don't have when using these shoes. I hope they always make this shoe!

Always go with New Balance for my running shoes. They fit perfectly and give me good support in the right areas. Very comfortable and light weight to wear. I am a recreational runner but I still want my running shoes to do everything right and that's what New Balance shoes always do. I have tried almost every other brand, but I always come back to New Balance and wonder why I even tried something else.

out of the box, didn't feel much cushioning beneath me. just didn't have a soft or supportive feel to me. wasn't as light feeling as other brands i've worn.

A great shoe for training. Light, supportive, and a great fit. I would recommend this to everyone looking for a good training shoe - especially if you have wide feet like I do. The 2E and 4E size options make getting a perfect fit easy!

If you weigh over 200 lbs. and run 5 days a week this is a great shoe for you. I feel no impact at all. As far as durability, the jury is still out due to the fact I have only put about 250 miles on them.

This shoe is a great value. I run quite a few miles so I need new ones every two or three months. I buy these two at a time and love them.The fit, feel and performance is as good as the $120 shoes I previously wore.
