Comments about Mens New Balance 1400 Running Shoe: Me: 6-1, 175 pounds, medium high arch, neutral midfoot gait, 25+ miles per week, 1h40m HM'r. I have about 130 miles on these NB1400's so far,and they are great. I split time between NB1064's, NB759TR's and these NB1400's. Very light for a trainer, plenty of cushioning. They feel fast, with a slim, snug fit. Length in 11.5 is true to size, IMO, and not a half size too long (I usually wear 11.5 in NB and 1400's seem a little longer than my previous 1063's, 1064's). I trust these shoes for tempo runs and longer runs up to 15 miles. I have raced them up to 10 miles, but decided to leave them at home for two recent HM's that were training races for my upcoming A-race marathon. Not sure if I'll go 26.2 in these ... but probably. I love the colors, but I MISS THE OLD SAUSAUGE LINK LACES! Soles are wearing just a quickly, but that's what I expect from a light, flat, racer.

Comments about Mens New Balance 1400 Running Shoe: Use these for speed training every day. Very comfortable, lightweight, and durable. They cushion very well and are extremely breathable. The breathability makes stepping in puddles not an issue, as the water just drains out. Very good shoe.

Comments about Mens New Balance 1400 Running Shoe: I run on the road most the time so the colors make it great to be seen. My only complaint isn't really a complaint at all, just that I have to spread out the tongue at the bottom when putting on the shoes so it fits correctly. The shoe is a great design and really comfortable when running.

Comments about Mens New Balance 1400 Running Shoe: I've had these shoes a little over a year now. They have held up well, but I only use them for racing and occasional speedwork or tempo training. I originally bought these shoes for a marathon in Dec 2011. The shoes were fine, although I did feel the cushioning was not as responsive about 20 miles into the race - not sure if it was really the shoes or my tired feet, though. But something to be aware of for longer races. I have had PR's in 5k, 10k, and 10 mile races wearing these shoes though. There's something about them that just make me want to run fast; and that is a good thing. I didn't use the shoe for my second marathon, and I'm on the fence about whether to use them for my upcoming third, or something else. But they are still my go-to shoes for all other races!

Comments about Mens New Balance 1400 Running Shoe: Wow...There are my first NB shoes. My speed work shoes (kinvaras 2) were about to die. Can say this one is way better!! In a week already did a 10k and a 5k. Great shoes@!

Comments about Mens New Balance 1400 Running Shoe: I was looking for a Performance Neutral shoe that would give me a fair amount of cushioning, and I ended up with a pair of New Balance 1400's. The shoe is fairly breathable and the upper material is very comfortable. The midsole is composed of a soft EVA foam, which in my opinion is a little too easy to compress. It will probably be one of the first things to break down on the shoe. The outsole has a great grip for asphalt and concrete, but it looks like it could lose it's tread after a couple hundred miles. I would avoid running on hard packed dirt and trails with this shoe. It saved my legs free from hard impact and was very comfy for my longer run. Overall a decent and affordable shoe from New Balance.

Comments about Mens New Balance 1400 Running Shoe: The shoe is almost perfect but the tongue is sewed to the upper causing a horrible pressure/rub point! I don't understand why shoe companies still insist on stiching the tongue when it's being marketed as an endurance training shoe.

Comments about Mens New Balance 1400 Running Shoe: This is a excellent shoe. It's comfortable, fast, and light. I use it for my speed work, fast runs. I previously used Kinvara for my lighter runs, these are much better. I hightly recommend them and besides blue and orange looks great.

Comments about Mens New Balance 1400 Running Shoe: Excellent shoe. The NB 1400 is a very nice racing flat with good cushioning. I have used Saucony Kinvara and Mirage and these are much better. Great for speedwork.
