I was a little hesitant to try these, since I found the first version of the New Balance 1080s way too stiff and bulky. But they have VASTLY improved the 1080 v2s!! They're definitely lighter and more flexible, and the availability of widths made it easier for me to find a size that would fit my wide foot. I run about 40 miles per week. Great job, New Balance!!!

I have been wearing NB for 10+ years for running. I bought two pairs of these in Dec 12 as I alternate shoes since I run daily. Both pairs were worn out in 2 months. I spoke to a rep and they said they didn't have that issue before so they talked me into buying 2 more pairs of the same. Those have worn out exactly in the same areas in the same amount of time.

I run an average of 30 miles per week on a treadmill. After 3 weeks of running in this shoe it felt like I was running barefoot. The cushioning broke down too quickly. I am a huge fan of New Balance and this is the first shoe I have ever had this problem with.

I work in neurosurgery and stand up to 14 hours a day. I have been wearing NB for high arches and wide for years and I buy 2 to 3 pairs at a time, with the 8mm drop I will not be wearing them again. NB were the most popular shoe in surgery until the change and every one I talked with will not buy them again because of foot problems.

Okay, so I still don't know why they need to keep changing the shoe. I actually loved the one before 1080 version 1 and had scrounged all over and bought 5 pairs at a time. The version 1 1080 wasn't that great of a change, so I got used to those, but cannot find anytmore. Version 2 gives me some blisters - I think the toeboz is different. I really want version 1, but version 2 will do for now.

I run 7 days a week and was experiencing knee pain for almost a year. i decided to try these shoes and after a couple of months my knee pain is gone!! I LOVE THESE SHOES...i have tried many many shoes and these by far have given me the BEST runs in my 15 years of running. THANK YOU NEW BALANCE!!

I usually wears New Balance size 7.5B. For 1080v2 gray/purple color, I had to go 1/2 size up (size 8B). I just received a pair of orange color in size 8B and found it is too big. Now, I will have to return it for my regular size (7.5B). I wish New Balance would be more consistent with their sizing... at least within the same model.

I really like this shoe. I by passed the first version of the 1080s due to the poor reviews. I was a fan of the 1064s and had stockpiled several spare pairs! I finally needed a new pair of shoes. I was very pleased with how lightweight and flexible these shoes feel even with Orthodics in them. I use these for running and walking. I really recommend this shoe!

These shoes run at least a half size too large. The fabric on the inside of the arch rubbed strangely against my foot making them uncomfortable when I put them on. After about a half mile I stopped noticing it, but each time I put them it was quite irritating. That said, they are comfortable on the road, just enough cushion but not too much, nice low-moderate heel drop. But, for the price tag I expected more, so sadly these very cute shoes are going back.
