Daily, training, walking, running/jogging on treadmil, etc. Love the look and feel on the bottom of my feet, however, on the right shoe, something happens with the tongue of the shoe and it really irritates the top of my right foot. This has never happened to me with any shoe before this.

Almost immediate delivery.

I am elderly (84) run (jog) three miles four or five times a week. Cushioning could be better. My older 992 and 993 seem to have had superior cushioning. These jar my hips.
Probably will call in next order and ask some questions rather than order on line.

I am a 170 lb 30 miles/wk runner. Leave it to NB to update, and screw up, the best shoe out there, the 993. NB, please tell the "good idea fairy" to go away. And RRS, can you get the 993 as a classic? Am I the only one that thinks the forefoot is not the same as the 993? Did they take out the gel? This "update" feels "squishier" than the 993. Thankfully, I have found the 993 still available elsewhere.

I really like how NB shoes fit. I often switch between NB and Brooks. NB shoes are very comfortable on longer runs.

190 lbs, 5'11". Jog 12-16 miles/week. Provides more than adequate support and cushioning while not being too heavy. A great classic running shoe. Took Road Runner Sports advice and purchased 1/2 size larger than normally wear and shoe fits like glove.

I'm a heavy guy that tries to get 25 to 30 miles per week on the road. I have a high arch, so I use an arch support. This is the best shoe I have ever found to keep me injury free. I am sold. I buy up one size and wider one size - perfect.

I walk a lot at work and my feet, legs and hips ached before the day was over. I was fitted for orthodics and with the NB shoes I have no more pain. I've only had the shoes for 3 weeks and have already recommended both the ortodics and the shoes to at least 20 people.

Good solid NB shoe for us Clydesdale's on or off road, but I don't like the smaller tongue. Even with laces through the loop on the tongue it tends to slide to one side. I'll probably try the 998's next pair.

I've been wearing NB 900 series shoes for 20+ years, and this is another winner! They keep getting better, and lighter; although, they are still a bit heavy. I've tried other brands, and other NB models, but I keep coming back to the 900 series!

My podiatrist suggested trying the NB 1540 shoe for motion control and stability. Normally wear size 14 in any well made in America dress shoe (e.g. Allen Edmonds) and size 14 fits fine. New Balance American made NB 993 in size 14 fits fine. Tried NB 1540 in size 14 and it was way too small. Tried size 15 1540 and my toes were still crushed into the shoe. Held the NB 1540 size 15 against the size 14 NB 993 and the 1540 was smaller. I also tried the new NB 990 replacement for the 993 and it was way small like the 1540. Don't know what New Balance is doing with lasts and sizing but it doesn't relate to larger American sizes. The 1540 and/or 990 be great shoes if they fit you properly but I suggest trying it on before purchasing.
