          I have not yet run in these as I have ordered the same shoe twice, only to discover that they are too short.

          I am anxious to compare them to the Asics 2170. In the Asics I comfortably wear a 11M. However, in the NB, this size is too short and too tight. Unfortunately, roadrunnersports does not carry this shoe in 11.5M

            I usually run in Nike, LunarGlide and LunarEclipse but with the NB 870v2 I am a New Balance convert. I was recently disappointed with the LunarGlides 3 which i got in 9 wide. I read a review of the 870 v2s and thought I'd try something new. At first, I had to send back the size 9 wide I usually wear in other brands because they were too short. But the 9.5 wide was perfect. I am a mild overpronator and wear custom insoles instead of the ones the shoe comes with but even without my own insoles, I felt that my foot had adequate support. I was comfortable right away, and have run both on pavement and trail/dirt path with these shoes. The width is great for my wide feet, and the cushioning feels great.
            The only negative is that the outsold has little holes in which gravel can easily lodge but that's a small price to pay for a good ffitting shoe!
