    Comments about Womens New Balance Minimus 10v2 Trail Trail Running Shoe:

    I was skeptical when I tried this shoe on, because I had tried on the first generation of the NB Minimus trail shoe and it just didn't feel right to me--for some reason the sole felt kind of stiff when I walked around the store. It was a shame, because I went in really wanting to love them.

    However, once I got these on my feet I knew I had to take them home, if only for a test run (at least in my head--in practice I've purchase every shoe I've ever "tested"). They were just so comfortable and light, and I could feel how great the traction was going to be. Additionally, the sole is wider on the bottom than the NB Minimus Road, which I also own and really wanted to love--but after a couple of miles, the sole was so narrow that I would end up running *on* the seams, which was really uncomfortable. No such problem here!

    I took the 10v2s out for a quick trail run, about 3 miles, and they were just as fabulous as I thought they would be. I wore socks, and didn't have any problems with chafing. I liked that the sole felt more pliable, but still had the protection and grippiness of its predecessor. A few days later I also wore them, sockless, for two days straight, walking around Boston, and I almost never go barefoot in shoes because my feet will *always* blister. I only just started developing a hotspot at the ball of one foot at the end of the two days, and my feet were kinda sweaty and had started to rub. I couldn't have hoped for anything better, really.

    Love the profile, love the color (I got purple/orange/grey), love the comfort!
