I have wide feet as well as need a high stability shoe when I run. New Balance is the only brand I have found that fits my foot without putting pressure on my toes or the sides of my feet. I constantly dread when it's time to replace my running shoe because of the process I have to go through to find the right fit because shoe companies never make the same shoe 2 years in a row and even though it may fit one year they change it enough in the newer model that it doesn't work the next. Very frustrating! The 1260v3 however is very similar to its predecessor. I also have 2 different size feet-- a 1/2 size different from each other so i have to purchase the larger size. These don't slip on the smaller foot.. I run 3-4 half marathons a year as well as a few 10k's and 5k's. so in other words I'm constantly training. These shoes withhold the constant miles I put on them--weather treadmill or training outside. I've been tracking my first pair and I already have 300 miles on them and they are still going good and have good tread on them. I have had shoes in the past that by mile 8 my feet are in such pain (it doesn't matter how I lace them) that is a struggle to get to mike 13. Not these though. In fact I am so happy with them I ordered 2 more pairs so I can enjoy them longer before having to go through the pain of starting over the search of a new running shoe.

The best shoes I have ever worn
These shoes are worth every penny! I am actually going to purchase another pair! I don't have a preference on what brand of shoe I wear. I am always in search of something comfortable, lightweight, and durable. My search was over when I got these! I have always been an athlete. Now, I am an above the knee amputee, which means I don't have a knee that absorbs the impact when I am walking. I still continue to be very active despite my limitation. However, it's difficult when you have shoes that don't work well to support it. I am walking 2-3 miles each day with these sneakers. That was something that I was not able to do before and not be in pain. I recommend these sneakers for everyone, but I highly recommend them to people with knee problems. The amount of shock/impact they give elevates pain and allows you to achieve the workout you are looking for, not to mention they are also stylish enough to wear every day with a pair of jeans.

Nice but not for me
I really like that this shoe is light and breathable, but it just didn't work out for me. One star for weight and one star for breathability.
I just got these recently and I have walked, jog, exercised a total of 15 miles in them and every time I've worn them has been a painful and numbing experience. My second and third toes starts to numb after the 1.5 miles. I have loosen the shoe lace, worn different socks, and even tried them with and without my custom orthotics and all the experience hasn't been pleasant. If this shoe works for you, definitely keep it, but unfortunately I need a running shoe that won't make my toes numb. I just got the ASICS Gel Kayano 20 and worn them for 5 miles so far and love the feel and the spread of the impact when landing on my feet. Sorry New Balance, loved you but I have to change brands. I'll be returning these and thinking about getting the ASICS Kayano 21 Lite.

I love this shoe!
I have always worn Asics until I decided to try the natural running movement and minimal drop footwear. Boy, did I screw up my feet. I ended up with Neuroma in the pads so I had to go back to a shoe with stability and cushioning. I bought Asics again but had to return them because they didn't fit right with their latest changes. I was really hesitant to try another brand but desperate to find a shoe that worked. And, this one was a pleasant surprise. The shoe is more responsive than I expected and has still has plenty of cushion and support. I am more of a mid-foot striker and I really feel the shoe is responsive and not too soft. I run 20-25 miles a week and my long runs are 8-9 miles. BTW, I weigh-in at about 135 so I may not be the typical runner who buys the 1260v.

Tacky in person but fit just right!
I've upped my running recently to about 20+ miles a week and have been wearing these for 2 weeks now. The first week I noticed the bottom part of the front of my foot was sore. I'm not sure if I had more support in my last pair of shoes (Asics) or my feet were just weak but by the second week the soreness was gone. I also do not know if this is a negative thing since you hear about feet weakening with too much cushion.
The overall look of the shoe is a bit juvenile (lot of detail that you cannot see in photos) but the look isn't too important to me. I like that they fit just right, aren't too heavy and are pretty breathable.

I love this shoe!
This shoe is light for how much cushion and support it has and it is an extremely smooth ride. I've been looking for a shoe that works for me and this shoe is awesome. I'm a moderate overpronator and enjoy cushion. I also love that this is only a 8mm heel to toe drop, which is part of what makes this so smooth. I tried Asics gt-2000 and they felt too bulky. These feel great and I don't even notice them on my feet during my runs. Perfect.

Best 1260 Model Yet
I have been wearing 1260's through all three versions and two generations prior to that before NB started just adding versions. (So glad they stopped re-numbering!) These are by far my favorite version. They have great cushioning, stability, and an all around fit. I love them so much I'm ordering a second pair to replace my 1260v2's even though they really aren't ready to retire. They are that nice. I am a "heavier"runner at 180 lbs. and I run 18-22 miles a week.
Ugly but Magical
These shoes are not much to look at unless you are the type that likes to rock a fanny-pack on vacation...but who cares if your friends make fun of you (mine do) for your ugly 1980's shoes because since running in these beauties...bye bye shin splints and back pain and hello shaving off 1.5 minutes off my time and upping my distance. These guys are worth every penny and every dirty look. I wish they were not being discontinued and plan on hunting down some more & stocking up! The best running shoes I have owned by far!

I will definitely buy this product again
I LOVE these shoes! They are comfortable and much lighter in weight than my previous shoes.
AND, with my long and narrow feet, this is the first time I can say that they look cute on my feet. The design is much more current than previous shoes and really distracts from the appearance of big feet. In the past, there were no real good looking shoes in my size. Thank you!

I have a wide foot and because of a recent foot surgery need a wide toe box. I have always liked New Balance and this shoe has not disappointed me. I tried the shoe without any inserts to test the cusion and support in it and was very pleased. I have ran about 60 miles in the shoes so far and not have any complaints. I highly recommend them to any long distance runner, who is looking for good support in a lightweight shoe.
Colorful and comfortable
I love these shoes. I have narrow feet so these fit perfect and I don't have to tie the shoes super tight to feel like there is support. I like the colors, not too flashy. They are super supportive and have really good cushion. I use them for running and cross fit workouts. The only downside I can see so far is the tread seems to be wearing down fast, but I do use them for everything.

Not their best shoe
I always like New Balance shoes because they fit my wide feet so well. These fit fine and were really pretty! However, the heel cushioning (or lack thereof) made these shoes horrible! My feet hurt so bad after one day of wearing them indoors that I had to return them. Hopefully NB will add some more cushioning to these in the future.

Have come to love this shoe!
The first time I ran in these shoes, the toe box felt too snug, and I thought I would have to return them. I gave them a couple more runs, and I have learned to LOVE these shoes. They are just what I needed! Great cushioning, great comfort! I also wear ASICS and love them, but if you are looking for a different brand, try these New Balance!
My favorite shoe
I run around 45 miles a week and over pronate. It took me a while to find the perfect shoe to keep my injury-prone areas happy. These shoes have great support and have the most natural feel. I don't get any blisters and they are an extremely smooth ride. I'm a big New Balance fan now because of these shoes.
I LOVE these shoes, I don't have much to compare them to but they are extremely comfortable. For everyone who says that they don't have that much cushioning....I don't know what shoes they're wearing. I have serious shin splint problems and these shoes (along with compression sleeves, not sure what did the trick more) were extremely helpful. I didn't have them for about a year until they just started creeping back again. Highly recommend these.
This running shoe fits so comfortably--enough toe area width and yet grips the heel area very well. Love the great cushioning in the forefoot and the heel areas. Nice air flow through the fabric in the top forefoot. My very favorite shoe. I walk about 5 miles per day, outside, every day.
Not good for long distance run???
this shoes are very confortabl wheneve I run less than 10 miles. However when I run over 12 miles, my feet start getting so tired and I feel less support for arch and not enough cushioning. I don't think I can wear these for full marathon race.
Los Angeles, CA
This was my first purchase of this shoe model. The real test was that I unexpectedly had to break-in this shoe by running a 1/2 marathon. Very nice ride and my knees were thankful! I immediately bought another pair, different color.

A lot of cushion.
If you're looking for cushion this is it. If you're looking for stability, move on. I would say this is a shoe for those who do not want too much cushion but do not want too much stability. A happy medium. I needed stability so I sent them back.

I average 4-5 miles per day on asphalt. Heavy Runner with a low to average arch, would like more cushioning, this appears to have an enduring sole. I believe this is a discontinued model.
Nice light shoe for a "heavier" runner
I switched to this shoe from the Saucony Guide because I wanted a little more support and it came recommended to me for that purpose. It definitely has more cushioning for high mileage.
I always wear New Balance. Only New Balance. This is my 4th pair of this shoe. It wears well.
Women friends like the colors! I do, too.
Sierra Madre, CA
Comfortable, cushioned support ideal for my old joints. I love them and west them for every run, but personally would prefer whiter colors.
So far, so good
I have a very narrow heel, so I need a shoe that will stay on my foot. The New Balance fills the bill with the option to purchase a narrow.
I am buying another pair
These are for my wife she is just starting to run. They were recommended by Road runner staff and they hit it on the head.

what an improvement from v2!
Ran my first half marathon in these shoes and my feet felt as good at the end as they did the beginning!
New Balance 1260 keeps getting better.
Love this shoe. Out of stock in the color I wanted but still love what I got.
This pair might have been a Dud because it is several versions old and on sale. It is uncomfortable, too small, and the colors are ugly. Needless to say, it went back.
use at gym. running but also on machines
and floor work
I love these shoes
These shoes are really good and light.
