I had been wearing Asics shoes for quite awhile, then I heard that New Balance made some of their shoes in the USA. I drove an hour to a New Balance store just to buy a pair. The worker there suggested the 767, that was in the fall of 2006. Since then I have bought two more pairs, great comfort and stability.

Best shoe I've had in quite a while. Reminds me of the original Supernova.

Great shoes - excellent, but unobtrusive stability, and well-cushioned. Just ran a marathon pb in a pair.

I love New Balance, but have big problems with this shoe. I just got a pair to replace my 766s which I'd used for over a year and a half and put something approaching 1000 miles on. I didn't have any real issues with the old ones, I just felt like it was time. After three runs on the 767s I'm getting shin splints, which I haven't encountered for a long time. I felt no improvement from day one, by all rights it should have been a night and day difference. I'll probably stick with NB, but a different line; unless my 767s were defective I'd have to say they messed up what was a very good shoe, and I probably won't bother seeing if they fixed it on the 768s.

Very disppointed in this shoe. I owned 2 pairs of the 766's and had a great experience. Got the 767's and developed blisters almost immediately. The toe box seems to wide now.

I have ran in this shoe line for the past 7 years. A great shoe! I put well over 650 miles on my first pair. I have pretty had a pair ever since. I have had numerous other pairs mixed in, but non have lived up to this line.

I have used the 764, 765 and now 767 for years and I have had good luck with all of them. I dumped the 765 when I tried the 767 and I think it is the best. I am using these for my first ever training for a half marathon and, with one exception, they have been great in progressing from 3-4 miles a time to 8-9. The exception is that they seem to wear out quickly--I'd guess in the 200-250 mile range. And when the last ones wore out going 7-8 miles a time, I got ankle, heel or achilles tendon pains every time out. As a a high arched, supinator, stabaility shoes aren't supposed to be for me but I tried one pair of neutrals (1061) and they were horrible. I'm back to 767.

A great combination of stability and cushioning out of the box. A bit wide in the forefoot. I'm 150 lbs. and run about 25 mi. per week. The problem is that the cushioning wears out quite quickly. Can't get over 300 miles on this shoe.

The first two weeks in this shoe where wonderful and then the bottom fell out and had trouble increasing my distance. It felt like the cushioning just vanished whenever I ran and returned on walking. I loved the 766 and owned 6 pairs and am sadly disappointed in the update and am now looking for a new shoe.

After one marathon, I'm still struggling to rate this shoe. On my short and long runs it seems to be the perfect shoe for me. During the marathon I got a lot of blisters and I normally don't blister, but overall my legs and back weren't bothered. So while the cushion and weight seem right, I can't figure out why the fit is just off.

Shoe didn't work for me. I have a med to large 175# build, low arches and a heel striker gait. This shoe was significantly narrower in the mid-foot than its earlier cousins and gave me problems at long-distances.

Most comfortable shoe I have had. Great out of the box, wide toe box, and good support. I now run in this instead of the 851.

I've worn Asics for the last 15 years and developed tendonitis in my ankle wearing GT21XX, Kayanos and Nimbus. I went to my local running store and he fitted me in these. What a dream! I love the width in the toebox and the stability. Needing arch support I added inserts and I couldn't be happier. Goodbye Asics and Hello NB!

Sat, November 25,2006:
I absolutely love the shoe, i got a pair of brooks, but those were a defective pair and one shoe pretty much blew out a month after i got them so i took them back to south sound running and traded them for a pair of these. these are probably the most comfortable shoes i have ever ran in. so much comfort, shock absorption and stability. the only flaw i found with them is that if i run sideways on a slight hill for a little bit (like in some cross country warm-ups), i would have to take the shoes off because it would hurt my feet to keep them on, even after running while we were stretching. other than that, it is an all aroun great shoe. I also have wierd feet, they are wider than the "normal" width of an "average" running shoe, but not wide enough fot the wide sizes. they are also a little wide at the heal and so it is kind of hard to find a perfect shoe. but if anyone out there has feet like mine, i suggest that you give this shoe a try, it is amazing.

A good update from the 766. Built on a somewhat wide last, not for narrow feet. Cushion feels good. One of New Balances better feeling shoes.

Wed, October 25,2006:
I have a medium build, low to average arches, and slight overpronation which should be perfect for this shoe. However after a month of running I am still not that impressed. It is a very stable shoe and it felt good in the store walking around in, but when I run the cushioning seems to disappear. The soles are too firm and my legs hurt after a couple of miles, which did not occur with my other shoes.
