Overall, this is a great shoe. It's lightweight, non-bulky and offers good stability. However, my two main gripes are that (a) there isn't enough cushioning in the forefoot and (b) the cushioning wears out too quickly. I run on pavement in a hilly area and noticed that after 250 miles my shin splints returned and became increasingly worse with each run. At a little over 300 miles, it's time to retire this shoe. It was good while it lasted, but I wish this shoe were more durable. I'm trying the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 10 in the hopes that the cushioning won't break down as quickly.

I have been running in 763's for as long as I can remember. None of the newer versions of this series fit well (one pair even made my heels bleed). I absolutely LOVE 763's... I am 5'5", medium build with a small foot and high arch. These shoes are stable and yet still light enough for long runs. I highly recommend them! Please don't ever stop carrying them!

I have run for 30 years and this is the best running shoe I've worn in years. Great for wider feet, and very stable. Looks great and works well as a walking shoe too.

Wow. Best shoes ever! Wore the inside fabric out before the shoe itself. Perfect on mile 3 and mile 10. Great shoes. Gota buy these for my next 500 miles! Make these with trail tread please!

these shoes have been with me all through my running career, they are classic/ perfect shoes for any work out: be it track, trails, or cross training, all around awesome! I love these shoes!

I LOVE THESE SHOES! My old friends from the past! I've always done well with the 760 series until I hit 767 which I couldn't even walk in and became disillusioned with NB. I switched to Asics but they weren't quite right for me either. I was thrilled to find out the 763 was back. Please NB, don't ever drop this shoe! I'll have to stock up!

LOVE THEM!! I've run 1000's of miles and this is the best shoe yet!! Light. Great stability and just enough give. If they made this shoe in other colors it would be the only model I'd buy. I wear retired shoes and black & white don't go w/ every outfit;) This shoe outlives it's tread. Going to miss them.

I bought this shoe for the fit. They rise over the arch from the toe box sooner, which my foot needs. There are very few shoe models that do this. In New Balance, one looks for "SL-2" to get this kind of fit.

best shoes i have ever had, have been wearing them for years. i'm not a runner. due to back problems i have to wear supportive shoes and these are my favorite for comfort, support and walking. i don't know what i am going to do when i can't get them anymore.

Did not like this shoe. As soon as I put them on I knew they were not a good choice. I ran in them twice to be sure. Very stiff, not much cushioning, and too short, even though I ordered a half-size up. Returned them, but first consulted with a Road Runner Fit Expert for the exchange. He recommended the Asics Cumulus 10, a neutral shoe with more flexibility and cushioning. I have high hopes.

I was a devoted to New Balance for nearly 20 years but then they started to change their style and fit and I became disillusioned. I switched to Mizuno and was happy with those but Road Runners seems to be phasing out their Mizuno line. So I decided to give New Balance another chance. Initially, I was thrilled with the 763. They were extremely comfortable and didn’t need any breaking in. But, after less then 200 miles, the heels showed a tremendous amount of wear and tear. I am in the process of looking for new shoes and they will definitely not be New Balance.

This is the best shoe I have ever run in. I used to wear Asics until a friend of mine introduced me to the 763 a few years ago. I've been running in them ever since. They fit my foot perfectly. They're lightweight, cushioned and provide excellent stability. I hope they stay a classic for years to come! Thanks New Balance, for making such a great shoe!

These shoes are fantastic, i usually go for shoe for looks (oops) but these have both looks and comfort! I wore them during my high school cross country career (different pairs for the different years) and they carried me all the way to New Mexico State Championships! I love them! I've even kept the first pair i ever bought to remind me of those glorious times! (Pretty gross, huh? ha.)
