I have only worn New Balance for many, many years. My foot is narrow and I wear orthotics. This shoe is just o.k. A bit clumsy. Nothing great. If you overpronate and have narrow feet this shoe is NOT for you.

I'm 5'9", 175 lbs and a fairly neutral runner with bad knees. I recently changed to the 1023 and am very pleased with the results. I put in around 30-35 miles per week which to some is not a great amount but... anyway, I'm very please with the fit, comfort and cushion of this shoe. After approx t...

I am now on my second pair of New Balance shoes. I bought the 1023's after reading good reviews, but unfortunately I have nothing good to say about these shoes. The toe box is very small, and leaves my toes feeling numb after a long run. I was happy to read that others are noticing this, as well ...

I am a neutral runner. I thought the cushioning was great, but they ended up being too small and my feet kept falling asleep around mile 6. They did not fit the upper part of my narrow feet. Buy a size up like they recommend. Also made in the USA!

I just bought my second pair of 1023. I run a combination of trails and fire roads and I really like how these shoes peform. I used to buy mostly Saucony, but these shoes helped convert me to NB.

I agree, people like them or love them. I bought 827's through 832's before that shoe was so different that I didn't like it anymore. I switched to 1023's on the road runner salesmen suggestion and it has been my shoe for a few years now. It has also been my favorite; I didn't know it was going, ...

I am 5'11", weigh 165lbs with medium arches, and always prioritize for cushioning. I have run approximately 150 miles in these and recommend them highly. They run 1/2 to 1 full size smaller than true.

A great update to one of the best shoes available for larger underpronaters. I'm 6'1", 190lbs, and find them very laterally stable, well-cushioned and responsive. The shoe is lighter and firmer than the 1022, also a great shoe.

This shoe is incredible, but just to warn everyone be careful on what COLOR you buy. The yellow ones run small about a half size and the blue ones run true to size. The new color that will come out 6/05 will run true to size also. SO if you are ordering them or trying them on make sure to choose ...

I'm 50, 200#, with a neutral gait and medium to high arches. I bought two pair of these shoes from Roadrunner Sports in late Nov/early Dec after the replacements for the Mizunos that I had been wearing were too tight through the toe box. With the first pair, the soles failed after less than 225 mi...

I'm 5'10" and 165 lbs. I bought these around Sep 2003 after using NB 1022s. Didn't seriously run for a while up until 6-8 months ago. These shoes are great. Much lighter than 1022s and seem more comfortable. Will buy a new pair in preparation for Rock N Roll Marathon.

I found these shoes to be very light with lots of stability. I felt as if I did not have any shoes on at all. I really enjoy running in them and will seriously plan to buy another pair when my current ones wear out.

I generally like the New Balance fit and phiosophy but these shoes offer less cushion than comparable shoes (Asics Nimbus, Mizuno Wave Creation) and the lacing system is terrible. Just can't get these to fit or perform for me, so I am going back to Mizuno.

Great shoe! Feels like a slipper and is perfect for my foot and running style(high arch, slightly wide, 175-pounds). I've logged 400 miles in these and they are still going strong. Great job, New Balance!

Include me in the list of dissatisfied customers. I, too, wore the 1022 with great pleaseure only to be disappointed by the 1023. Not only is the shoe tight (10.5 EE), but the lacing system is awful. I can't figure out a decent pattern that is comfortable. Any suggestions?
