      I'm 77 and gave up running after I had my first hip replacement. These shoes are too wide for every day, but the extra cushioning make them great for gym use. Wish they'd make them narrower!

            I have been using the 1123 for years now and I am happy with this update. It is very comfortable and much lighter. I'm not sure that it feels any wider than the previous version, as I wear a D width which is wide for women. I plan to continue buying this.

              I hike 1-2 hours 5-7 times per week.
              I have successfully worn the New Balance 1123
              for years. This shoe is sooooooo uncomfortable compared to the 1123. It is too wide in too box
              allowing the foot to slide around thus
              totally negating any motion control.
