Not exactly a "TRAIL" shoe

    Comments about Mens New Balance 710 Trail Running Shoe:

    Long time runner, trying to get back into it after a knee injury. I run trails. This shoe is very comfortable, very light weight, but I fear that the sole cushioning is not up to being a trail running shoe. Also, I'm use to Trail shoe being somewhat stiffer for support in uneven terrains, this shoe feels like a racing flat--light weight and very flexible. I also wear a 2E width which doesn't make things easy when buying shoes. I'm returning my 710--and will continue to look.

    Comments about Mens New Balance 710 Trail Running Shoe:

    First the 710 is NOT imported as listed.
    I exchanged the 510 for the 710. (The 510, an imported shoe, quality was AWFUL.) The quality of the 710, an american made shoe, was on par with previous New Balance I have owned. After wearing them I was a little disappointed that the cushioning although good wasn't near as soft as the $100+ neutral+ i have recently bought. But for the price the cushioning, which isn't awful, is what I should have expected.
