This is my third pair of New Balance Minimus. For about two years I suffered from arch pain after running even short 1-2 mile runs. With nothing to lose, I tried these shoes. After two months of using them, my arch pain was gone.
Starting out, they felt flimsy and did not provide any cushion for my foot. As instructed I took it easy for the first few weeks, only going a mile or two on mild terrain and cobblestone and other rough surfaces hurt my feet. Once my feet became used to running in these shoes it didn't bother me anymore. I have even been running in the rugged rocky mountains around Scottsdsle, AZ with no problems. Went for a little 20 mile jog yesterday at about 8:40 pace and the shoes held up fine while leaving my feet nice and happy.
These shoes hold up for much more than 400 miles with no problem. I run well over 75 mile a month and these shoes last 8 months no problem. The stitching and glue have held up with no problems at all, the only reason I've had to get new shoes is because the tread finally wore too thin. .. but they had way more miles on them then I would normally expect from a running shoe.
I am in the military and use them for PT almost every morning and then after work and on the weekend when I am running on my own. If they get wet during a run, it is not a show stopper because they are so breathable and light weight they dry very quickly.
The only con is that when running on gravel road with 1/2 to 3/4 inch loose gravel, the sharp stones can bruise your feet if you are not careful.... but then again, I used these shoes for a 16 mile trail run through the mountains in Oregon earlier this year and I didn't experience any problems.
I do not usually bother with reviewing products that I purchase but these shoe have impressed me enough that I feel it is worthwhile leaving this review.

Great Shoe for alot of things!!!!!
Awesome Shoe. Great for "on the go" wear all the way to "extreme exercising" in any terrain. Ideal for deadlifts in the gym because of its flat bottom. Still great for squats if you want to challenge your ankle mobility. All around great shoe and will recommend it to the next person.

Good looking shoe
Good shoe, not sure about high trail miles as I bought this as a hiking/distance walking shoe, something to remember is this is a minmus shoe which means no cushing built into the shoe, aslong as your aware of that it is a good shoe

Overall the shoe isn't bad but it isn't for me. I bought it because it came in 2e and was a minimal trail shoe. The biggest problem is the strap in the middle of the shoe. It chokes my foot and bothers me after a few miles.
Great Minimalist Shoe!
Great shoe for the minimalist runner. Good for trail running or road running.
Edgar the Runner
Mainly use the shoe as a slip on comfort shoe
Good Crossfit shoe for wide feet
Great WOD shoe!
