Comments about Mens New Balance 710v2 Trail Running Shoe:
I had to send my first pair of 710v2 back because they were at least 1/2 size too long -- after I followed the recommendation to "buy this shoe 1/2 size up." I wear a 9 1/2 street shoe and originally ordered a 10. The 10's for me were way too long --- enough to be a tripping issue. I am 62, a 40-50 mile per week runner/marathoner -- have worn dozens of shoes over the past 40 years. I wear a 10 Wide Nike. I'm definitely 9.5 wide in these NB. Also the 2E width is a little wider and looser than I'm used to. But will stick with them and try them out on the trail within the next few days. My last pair of trail shoes was New Balance 1110 which were firmer fitting and less cushioned than the 710V2. I have been happy with the 1110s (which were about $40 more expensive) but suspect that the 710s will turn out to be a lot less durable based on feel and looks. I may post more after running in the 710s for a couple of months.
